It's a great way to meet/make new friends and get deck ideas, plus (depending on circumstances) you can get free stuff. Tournaments with friends are always fun.

I normally ran my standard format decks except for one time I ran Ninjas. No one saw that coming. Went 2-0 then had to leave. You should try a tournament sometime.

Haven't played in a Modern, let alone a tournament in a while. I'll be taking this deck when/if I get the rest of the cards. What do you normally play in modern?

If you plan on doing tournaments, you might need to SB some things so you don't get overwhelmed. Pithing Needle, Whip of Erebos and Rakdos' Return would be a place to start. Hero's Downfall wouldn't be bad either.

I got beat in a tournament against a deck like this. I liked the idea so I made my own version.

Anything budget friendly? I like the mentioned cards, some of witch are cheap(molten rain, smallpox...). I'll have to get some. Thanks.

Merry Christmas guys. kmk888, how do you suggest to play land destruction in modern? I've seen a few decks, but not sure how I want mine to run(I'm working with a Jund build with some random cards I have). http://www.mtgvault.com/kjsj3/decks/modern-lands-go-poof/

Entomb isn't exactly budget. That being said, I managed to get my hands on a Graveborn deck so I have one that I'll add when I build the deck.

When I get the rest of the cards, I'll play you with it Gothy. Jessie is correct on how the combo works. Jessie, that would be funny.

Personally, I wouldn't run more than 2 unless my deck ran on it.

I also see (mostly in standard because I haven't been to a modern in a while) shrine to nix and with black, whip of erebos.

It is just the name of the deck. The actual card wouldn't work here because it returns to the hand in stead of attaching to said creature in combo. I might have to build a deck around that card sometime though. I like your 1st turn tendril deck. Kind of what I'm doing here, just 1st turn inf mana in stead of storm.

Cauldron haze/cauldron of souls + damnation/day of judgement + something that gives creatures haste would be funny.

Completely forgot about the untap ability. t4 biomancer, t5 prophet flashing in waves opp eot. I normally play a lot of control/removal so it wouldn't easily hit the field. I do think it would be a good idea, but my understanding of mojobeanz's comment was t3 biomancer, t4 prophet flashing in waves, something this deck currently can not do.

You can cast prophet at(cmc5) a turn later than a master at(cmc4). Although the flash is nice, I think prophet would actually slow it down.
