Deck discussion for Would You Like To Play A Game?

My brother has a similar deck using sage with bioshift and biomancer ive onl beat it a few times. but when he gets that combo it really hurts. although even with that many turns it can still lose.

For some reason, I really like heroes' bane. Unless you can kill your opponent quickly there is a slight possibility that taking to many turns could kill you.

I was screwing around with a jund idea sorta like this using gyre sage, menace, varolz and exava. playing rakdos return, hydras and the top tier removal. Whip is also sweet in that list.
I would have to make an updated list though.

Also try saying "Irish Wristwatch" out loud, or better yet...My personal favorite, "The sixth sick sheik's sixth sheep's sick".

Anyway, I had this offer brought to me and I must humbly decline. I have Skype, I have a fast internet, but I just can't accept the offer. Unfortunately there are a lot of people who would like to know who I am for all the wrong reasons...I've already had a couple scares. Again though, thanks for the offer =]

I see so many potential improvments here, but not quite knowing your playstyle i'll just name a few cards and give you a link to some more you may considder, the most important though is DEFINENTLY to get some ramp into your deck. Ordeal of Nylea should fit nicely

Exava, Rakdos Blood Witch, more than a decent card on its own and also allows all your creatures with +1 counters to gain haste. for free.

Domri Rade, lets you draw more cards as long as they are creatures and enables your creatures to fight other creatures outside combat.

Varolz, the Scar-Striped, lets you get something out of your dead creatures and can trick by chump blocking with another creature then sacing to regen.

Rakdos' Return, finisher that also empties your opponents hand or simply mid game to make sure he can't play more spells the comming turns.

Ruric Thar, the Unbowed, sideboard due to heavy mana cost but will take down virtually ANY flier and will usually cost an opponent, mana, 1 or 2 cards and at least 6 life to kill. if they want to burn him out, that's 12 life.

Burning-Tree Emissary, stricktly for developing an early board state but also a very economic card as it allows you to cast two 2drops on turn 2 instead of one.

Rubblebelt Raiders, a 3\3 for 4 is not that impressive but given that it attacks as minimum a 4\4 the first time and a 6\6 the next turn it should manage to become quite the bomb if they don't deal with it quickly. also the hybrid mana cost can be a huge advantage

Link: http://mtgsalvation.gamepedia.com/Return_to_Ravnica_block
just take a look at the cycles. there might be something there for you although i think i named most of them.

Half of the cards you listed can not be used, as this is BUG, not Jund.

0

To be fair, jund is probably the better option for a hydra deck, it offers savage born hydea and domri

It's just suggestions for a way to bring your deck. I in no way expect you to "do my bidding" except for ramp. you NEED something to at least put lands in your hand with your heavy curve. also northernwarlord makes a lot of budget decks that are great to draw inspiration from. you might wanna take a look. the man's a genious in his own way.

0

What i usually do is play a lot of Draft and Sealed and then trade it for older cards as allmost anything drops in value like a rock the second it goes out of standard. I once traded 2 insistrad cards for 22 other cards. all rare or mythic.

^ERMERGERSH!

1
Posted 11 June 2014 at 01:37

I apologize, the true combo is:

Master Biomancer + Mycoloth + Doubling Season

Let's have an example:

Mycoloth comes into play. It gains 5 counters from master biomancer and 10 from devouring all your creature tokens. Doubling season gives it 30 counters. During your next upkeep, Mycoloth puts 60 saprolings onto the field, all 11/11 thanks to master biomancer and doubling season. But what if your opponent kills Mycoloth? Never fear, bioshift the 30 counters onto renrgade krasis, so he gets 60 counters and therefore all your creatures, inluding master biomancer, gain 120 +1/+1 counters. Yikes!

Yeah ... that combo wrecks. In fact, Master Biomancer is a epic beast in saproling decks. I tentatively say that this is a true combo with doubling season, since it takes advantage of both parts of its ability.

0
Posted 11 June 2014 at 01:48

Sorry to burst your combo bubble, but Renegade Krasis only boosts your other creatures if he evolves. so if you bioshifted the counters onto it, your other creatures wouldn't get the counters. otherwise, that sounds pretty damn good!

Drat quick, you're right. I meant to put them on the biomancer and laugh as everything evolves whenever a creature comes into play! The actual combo bubble is fine ... the contingency plan is shot.

2

I will try, (do or do not, there is no try).

Just respond to every conversation (like we're having now) and strike them up whenever possible. Respond with short, 4 or 5 sentence blips and vote up goof comments. I.e. "Stay on target"

I find good advice or funny jokes get up voted. Being a Grade A assh - you get the picture.

Taking the time to proofread and paragraph longer comments (like this one) really helps people to understand what you are saying. It's also much more pleasant to read. If you put in effort, people WILL notice.

Oh, and look for chats on hot decks, where people are likely to join and return to a conversation.

May the force be with you.

P.S. I made a star wars pun in this comment and in an earlier one on this thread. Hint: X-Wings vs. Death Star.

Not nearly as much as my buddy DoTheWumpus. He's got a sort of Kobold trickery deck.

Hmmm... Dang. I am looking for some advice on some non creature support for a deck that I am designing. When was the last time wumpus was on? Doesn't seem like I see him too often.

Hey KJSJ3 great build. I was wondering if you ever thought about Hunter's Prowess or Chorus of Might for the trample ability? Granted they aren't the greatest but, as a one or 2 of it might be good. Just a thought.....
Any way check out my new standard brew it has been doing great but has a couple weakness's that I can't quite figure out let me know what you think......

He had posted this deck on at least 5 others, not just here. Bunch of hot list decks.
