I agree. Ironically enough, that's why I copied the basis in red/white!

My sincere apologies. I checked it out a second time on gatherer, and it's quite legal. Oh well ... my lifegain deck worked around it.

On another note ... Sanguine Bond looks like it might fit your dastardly schemes better.

What? Oh well, Ajani is still a way cooler add. Here it comes ...

Huzzah! Caught you making the mistake I did! Serra Avatar is a mythic rare, so ... it can't be used in this format. Ajani is cool though.

Umm ... sorry to break it to you, but serra avatar is a mythic rare, as is felidar sovereign. Therefore, this deck will rely on voracious wurm, angelic accord, rhox faithmender, and felidar umbra.

WHY ARE NONE OF THE TAINTED LANDS IN THE COLORS I PLAY?!

Then ... 3 Serra Ascendants for the 6/6 flying shenanigans, and voracious wurms for the lulz! Pop some lifelink on those suckers, and we're off to the races.

I'll give her a shot. Oh, and felidar sovereign is just cheap, so I won't use that.

I didn't say weak ... I said awkward. Keeping a lightning bolt or Boros charm in hand til turn 6 or 7 so you can trigger his ability is difficult ... but the combo with balefire liege is irresistible. Cast lightning helix, then cast another helix (thanks to Mr. Balefire), drop two 3/3 soldier tokens with haste onto the field, then make your mimic a 4/2 first strike.

How's this: an aristocrat deck built around serra avatar ... g/w lifegain-like-you mean it.

Lol, you made a funny. First strike always has "the edge". :)

I just found out about rally the righteous ... for a common card, it's pretty damn good. The radiance mechanic has to put people off, which is probably why I have not heard of it. The same goes for leave no trace.

Brave the elements + rally the righteous = lulz. With 2 Boros recruits, 2 wojeks halberdiers, and firemane avenger out ... that's 24 unblockable damage (2 from boros recruits, 6 from halberdiers, 6 from firemane avenger, and 10 from rally the righteous) to the face. 28 if I have a boros charm lying around turn 6. Ouch.

I believe, your deck has the edge in the late game with ridiculous black/white creatures, but this deck can put the hurt on early game. Since both our decks have consistent lifegain, and bucketloads of removal ... the game would take for freaking ever. I would hate your lifelink, and you would hate the veritable rain of lightning helices.

Lol ... I still think that boros commando is a tad awkward with all the damage dealing spells being only 1 or 2 CMC. Any suggestions?

Also ... mirro entity + boros charm = 8 damage to the face turn 3.

Hey northy. I propose a duel. This aristocrat deck ...

... verus this soul-eating burn deck.

Oh, and you forgot Kalonian Tusker's big brother: Leatherback Baloth. 3 CMC 4/5 beast beatstick. Arguably the best green creature in the game for it's mana cost (poor kalonian tusker has to compete with deadly recluse). Oh, and it's only an uncommon.

Excellent deck. That's a whole bunch of punches to the face in a small deck ... that manages to be budget!

I can't get the humorous image of a slightly buffed elvish mystic (due to incremental growth) killing a gaea's revenge with a ... Savage Punch to the face.

Go Jessie! Seriously though, screwing with lands is potent stuff. The inverse of bouncing lands can be brutal. Trust me, if Knight of the White Orchid lets a Baneslayer Angel and a pop in turn 4, you are in for a world of hurt. But if you bounce that extra land ...

The ability to slow down an opponent, THEN play propaganda, is absolutely brutal. That's a combo capable of wrecking most aggro and infect decks.
