Wow, 201 views and very few comments that aren't my own. No one has anything to say on it? Constructive or otherwise?

Any suggestions for possibly less budget minded cards that I could swap in?

Keeping it in standard of course.

Was so focused on low mana cost that I didn't even look at that. Swapped 2x in for 2x Divine Favor. Thanks :-)

Murder of crows I will be swapping for Harvester of Souls.
I agree that Cemetary Puca would be better, but I don't have access to it at the moment (dropping cards I want to swap in the sideboard for now)
Lazav would be a great choice, but he only takes from opponents dying creatures. The deck that I go up against the most often is a Ghave deck that basically uses ridiculous amounts of tokens to overwhelm me, and not much else.
Swapping Sadistic Glee for Quest for the Grave Lord, just don't see as much help coming from the Grave Lord as I would from the Glee.

Hi Northern, I love your budget decks that you build. They help quite a bit with seeing good and financially cheap combos and playstyles. I have taken your GrimGrin deck and made a couple changes to it based on what I had available and what I could find at my local shop. http://www.mtgvault.com/landolien/decks/budget-edh-grimgrin/ I was wondering if I could get some help with making some more changes to make it even more effective. While cards in the $15+ range are a little out of the way for me, I was hoping that you had some other good options.

Sorry to hijack on one of your decks, but I can't find a way to message you directly. Do you ever put in EDH decks? I've got some I have been working on, but I seem to find myself to be a bit of a lackluster deck builder.

Parallel Lives + Doubling Season + Parallel Evolution. Assuming only one token on the board, you get 4. Flashback and you are at 21 total.

Now, let's assume you cast Ghave, sac him outright for all ten of his +1/+1 to tokens (Doubling Season brings him in with double his +1/+1). This will net you 40 1/1 tokens. Parallel Evolution after that and you get another 160 1/1 (We're up to 200 now). Flashback and get another 800 1/1 tokens (1000 tokens in total) in one turn for 17 mana (Assuming Parallel Lives and Doubling Season were already out, 26 if you have to drop them all in one go).

Concordant Crossroads - Haste Enchantment, I feel that's self explanatory

Just sayin...

Edit:
Primal Vigor. Now more maths...

Lets just say Parallel Loves, Doubling Season and Primal Vigor are out. That's it, and an infinite mana source.

Ghave, in with 20 +1/+1 counters. Sac them all for 1/1 tokens. Get 160 tokens (20x2x2x2=160). Parallel Evolution for another 1280 tokens, 1440 total on the board. Flashback for 11,520 more token, 12,960 total on the board.

Lots of cards for the combo, but even if you only have Doubling Season, Primal Vigor and Ghave you still end up with 80 1/1 tokens. Against me specifically you win, I don't have enough board wipe or even a 'All creatures get -1/-1 until end of turn'. Maybe I should look into that...

I've a similar deck I'm building. Some of the cards added or omitted are specifically because they are either currently unavailable from my shops or they are too expensive. http://www.mtgvault.com/landolien/decks/595547/
