This is a standard Grixis Control deck that I'm currently tinkering with. I mainly play against my friends, they're going to build their own control decks right now (one with control in the form of burn and having some beaters to kill someone off and the other is playing blue white control)I decided that grixis control could prove to be a lot of fun and so I started making a deck outside of standard. Realising that there was a lot of cards to choose from, and a lot of them were really good, I had a hard time deciding what cards to have in the deck and what cards not to. Making a standard deck was my decision just to limit my option so that I can make a deck and see what needs to be changed and playtest it myself.The sideboard is made keeping in mind the two decks that I'm most likely goign to be up against, Slaughter Games removes win cons from my opponents decks, Notion Thief can steal a lot of card draw (one of them plays opportunity, the other Steam Augury) and is also a nice 3/1 beater.Once I get the hang of what's good and what's bad in this deck given what I'm usually up against, I will change the deck to be optimal against those decks. Once it goes out of standard, I'll probably add stuff like Nicol (because he's a badass and a win con in itself!) and Cruel Ultimatum.
