Cavern of Souls is also a good option, except by only being able to produce red mana for creature spells it would make the deck slower

Curiosity is in Innistrad, and Niv will be in Return to Ravnica... oh no. But great deck, i never even knew about the Izzet Guildmage + Lava Spike + Desperate Ritual combo.

I saw this birthing/zombie deck idea used in the pro tour, it looked very difficult to play against. It's interesting that your second color is red. Let me know how this deck played tonight
Show and Tell is perfect for Omniscience. Too bad it costs soo much money. Also, you should consider Arcane Sanctum as well as Drowned Catacombs, Glacial Fortress, and Isolated Chapel to improve your mana base. I would suggest Scrubland, Tundra, and Underground Sea as well but those are very expensive.

hmmm no offense but i dislike your mana base. With 44% of the deck consisting of red, but only 6.7% of the deck able to produce any red mana, you are bound to run into trouble. Plus, late game the depletion counter tool will betray you.

This is as good as any other izzet EDH deck i have seen, nice job. the only suggestion i have would be to add isochron scepter
also, instead of conqueror's pledge, i suggest you put in a Path to Exile or Swords to Plowshares
