You had my like at "Crowley"!

The road so far:
Tempt with Immortality is almost garanteed to come back and bite youu in the arse; I would lose that and move Exquisite Blood to the Main deck as this is going to combo with almost everything you have in there!
SInce this is a casual deck and Nighthawk already has Lifelink, you won't need Whip of Erebos; actually lose that whole sideboard, it is useless.

Now:
Replace Curse of Shallow Graves with Crown of Doom; this has no drawbac and cannot be used against you, so that is way better than loading your opponents with 2/2 Zombies.
Replace 1x Bite of the Black Rose + 1x Dash Hope by 2x Exsanguinate to give yourself true finishing power.

Carry on my wayward son!

I don't comment much on Standard decks because I don't play that format, but I suggest you give your deck a catchy name to attract feedback, like "Soldiers of Fortune" or at least a simple one like "Boros Aggro" . Also if you didn't have one at creation, you can add a thumbnail by dragging a card from your deck to the deck's avatar; it doesn't work from the sideboard. This also works to change the thumbnail on yor existing decks.

Cheers,

I am happy if some of my comments were helpful; I sometimes lose track of how much Commander Staples have gone up in price since the format started, so I apologize if some of my input was not budget-friendly.

The important thing in Commander is that your deck resembles you and that you are enjoying it, so I encorage you to keep whatever you like in there.

Cheers!

Congratulations on entering the wonderful world of Commander! Your deck is very playable as it is, but some choices seem to have been made from a duel perspective and you mentioned this is for multiplayer, so my suggestions are aimed in that direction.
Your Mana base is generally good and the comments I have are based on my personal preferences:
- Rupture Spire doesn’t seem to have any real added value here; I would favor Mirrodin’s Core.
- Evolving Wilds and Terramorphic Expanse seem to dilute you land pool more than anything else. Vivid Creak is also a weak mana fixer in my opinion. I would replace these with the Filter lands, provided you have/can afford those (Cascade Bluffs, Fire-Lit Thicket and Flooded Grove) or even with basic lands, which at least won’t come into play tapped.
- Finally, you should run roughly the same amount of each basic land type, given that your deck is fairly balanced when it comes to Mana Symbol occurrence.

You are a bit heavy on the mana-producing artifacts, along with Tezzeret; I don’t see why you are going in this direction. I would lose Chromatic Lantern, Darksteel Ingot and Dreamstone Hedron to make room for artifact that actually make a difference, like Deathrender, Sword of Fire and Ice, Sword of Body and Mind, or more creatures and spells.

Creatures:
I am not a fan of:
- Ætherling
- Artisan of Kozilek
- Brutalizer Exarch
- Farhaven Elf
- Ghor-Clan Rampager
- Molten Primordial
- Phyrexian Ingester
- Rattleclaw Mystic
- Wood Elves
I would like to see:
- Ixidron
- Edric, Spymaster of Trest
- Anger
- Dominus of Fealty
- Vorinclex, Voice of Hunger
- Yavimaya Elder
- Elvish Piper
- Genesis
- Magmatic Force

A few improvements for spells:
- Replace Fervor with Fires of the Yavimaya
- Replace Primal Surge with Genesis Wave
- Replace Unexpected Results with Lurking Predators
- Replace Treachery with Bribery; it won’t untap lands, but you always get an awesome creature from it.
- Replace Destructive Revelry with Hull Breach, more versatile and powerful.
- Replace Search for Tomorrow with Sylvan Library and Kodama’s reach with Abundance; when both are in play you draw all 3 cards each turn.
- You have no board wipe; replace Urban evolution with All Is Dust

I hope this is helpful!

I suggest you replace Go For The Throat with Dreadbore to manage Planeswalkers.

I have almost made it for my deck, still need to cut 2 cards; if you care to look I could use some help. :)

Thank you so much for this in-depth analysis!

I am almost there and only need to cut 2 more cards; here are some comments about the changes I made:
- It is not an issue in my group to play few basic lands; I did add Anathemancer, it will wreck my friends to shreds! It is also why I am not using Solemn Simulacrum; I would hate to have it become a half-dead card because I am out of basics. Still I cleaned p a bit and now have 8 basics planned.

- I have resolved the Sheoldred vs Butcher dilemma by keeping none. I also remove Grave Pact, which just seemed greedy in the end.

- Unspeakable Symbol: I am bent on keeping this card in, I have a good feeling about it; also it will rule with persist.

- I like the +1/+1 from Ring of Valkas in synergy with Marchesa, but also with some other effects like Mer-Ek Nightblade, and I have decided to run Cloak instead of boots because evasion seems more important than haste in this deck. Also I am tired of Greaves / Boots in every single Commander deck and wanted to try something different.

- Graveyard Hate : I have added Rakdos Charm and Nezumi Graverobber; not the cards you suggested but they have their perks.

- I want to try the Battledriver out, if it fails to meet my expectations I will resort to Anger

- I believe Undying will be awesome in this deck, because if the creature has a +1/+1 on it, it will still come back because of Marchesa, unless I am missing something.

- I have added Oblivion Stone as a Disk-like effect to wipe nonland permanents.

If you have an idea for the final cut please let me know!

I agree, I always find myself going back to Urza for little cards like Mark of Fury, and to Mercadian Masks as well, lots of good little cards that went Under the radar in that set.

I love Shadow decks!

Personnally I prefer to bid on a quick win than have to resort to life gain; I would replace the Warhammers with Bonesplitters to that effect.

How did I not know about Sigil of Sleep??? Have to hit the card shop for a playset!

Hello Puschkin,

I am building a casual, multiplayer Commander deck for Marchesa:
http://www.mtgvault.com/mazelord/decks/every-rose-has-its-thorns/

I need help with the final cut; I am trying to keep the deck focused on creatures coming back to play and triggering effects, various evasion tactics and draw engines to keep the steam Rolling. Feel free to suggest other improvements as well, I don't really have a budget limitation.

It is important to me that the deck does not rely too much on the commander for efficiency as, knowing my friends, she could get relentlessly exiled and shuffled in my library. The metagame in my group is a high power level and high budget with some gentlemen rules : no infinite combos, no more than 5 counterspells or mass removal in a single deck, no skullclamp.

Thank you in advance for offering this service! I am also a veteran and I appreciate the value of this advice.

Cheers,

I do want to keep both Coastal Piracy and the Bident, but I have eliminated other draw engines. This is a multiplayer deck, I have made other changes following your suggestions. This has been really helpful, only 8 more cards need to go. Any more insight?

Thank you for your comments; I have made a few adjustments. Thraximundar is interesting but I was hesitant to add so far because of the CMC, let's see if it makes the final cut. I still have to remove cards, what would you take out?

Thank you for the comments! This is an old deck and I have since made many changes; I will update the list and take that opportunity to look into some of these additions. However I am trying to focus on creatures of power 5 or more and furthermore to have only cards that have animals on them unless they are absolutely necessary. This deck will be played in multiplayee only so I am not bent on making it a fast kill, rather a mid range with several comebacks.
