The scarecrows are mostly secondary and just for fun. The main purpose of the deck is to get out the black mana ramp with draw power and search cards to end with composite golem and nim deathmantle and either blue suns zenith or diabolic revelation to essentially turn your entire library into your hand and play any of the "X" cost cards to end the game however you want. Finishing up with elixir of immortality to return all the cards you discard at the end of that turn back to your library. Making you immune to mill and making your friends hate you.
