Did you know you're running eight Cabal Therapy? I can't comment on the deck worth as i don't know Dredge decks all that well, but that part stood out.

I love Sunburst. I still run a chaotic one that's... considerably less focused than this. XD Less artifact lands, more color fixing, that sort of thing. Still, though, appreciating a good nod to a fun mechanic.

I like how Bedlam just says "screw it, if I can't have my combo, NO ONE is blocking!"

FUN deck idea. Undergrowth is fantastic in this and that's something not often said about Alliances' cards. XD

Depending on your local rules, Skullclamp is on the suggested ban list. But, if people don't mind you playing it, who cares?

Good use of the artifact land search cards, I'd forgotten there were so many (and you haven't even hit them all!)

I was going to suggest some changes, but, after a better look at the cards -- I really like this! Nice work!

Why the Kitchen Finks? They're admittedly awesome cards, but they seem out of place with the rest of the deck. Do they fit in some combo I'm not seeing, or are they in there simply because they're good?

That's a good question -- Is this supposed to be Type 2 legal, or is it just for fun?

It looks pretty solid, you're ramping like a madman, with or without the cards Vines mentioned. There's enough win conditions in here that you should have any problem getting something out and fast. I would only worry about defending the creatures once you have them...

Tower of Murmurs is a bad card, pure and simple. 8 cards for 8 mana is not efficient in the least. You'd be better served with some low cost control, like Tumble Magnet or Contagion Clasp (board in for creature heavy decks?) or even Icy Manipulator.

Also, Semblance Anvil = free Grindclock, Shriekhorn, Millstone, Elixer, Top... you get the idea. :D

Tons of mana and so few targets... I understand what you're going for, but the colors are working against you. Both green and red want to hit large, fast and HARD, not in small, sharp doses like a WW deck does.

Caged Sun is awesome, but not enough to make your little guys truly threatening. Even swarms of Saprolings can only got so far. You want at LEAST 2 Overruns in here. 6 1/1's or even 2/2's? Not so threatening. Then suddenly they're 5/5's with trample and your opponent is going "Oh f***".

Also, normally I'd say Red Sun's Zenith trumps Fireball, BUT, in your case, it's strangely good strategic burn. You have the mana to throw a lot of damage at JUST the targets you want to hit.

I think this deck has a lot of potential, you just need to make those little guys more threatening. :)

It's like some sort of mutant Caw deck. XD Actually, it reminds me more of a variation that I had for standard a few months ago that we called "Squawk Box". the only thing missing would be Venser for repeatable searching, but you probably don't need it. Your curve is so fast that you might even have them whooped before you see the whale. Very cool, looks like a lot of fun. ^_^ And, yes, the whale is awesome. LOL

This is just NOT a nice deck. :O Chant or Silence on sticks make for the ultimate stalling technique. You might actually be running a bit too MUCH tap down... Maybe drop a couple Harriers or Lawkeepers for a mid-range creature?

Also, did I catch you in the middle o building you land base? Because it's not there. XD

Oh, to reply completely... Heroes don't do the right sort of thing to fit in here, though they are awesome. Frost Breath is still in the maybe pile because it DOES fit, but I don't know what to take out for it. XD

So, I went 3-2-0 on 8/12. Well, I consider it more 2-2-0 because my 4th round opponent apparently left and forgot to tell the organizer. It was a free win for me without the stigma of it being a real bye. :D So, instead, I "helped" a friend playtest his R/W Jor Kadeen Battlecry deck. I stalled him down to nothing and then eased up by switching to a slow artifact mill deck.

... Is it mean to have a Grind Clock with 14 charge counters on it? :D Also, Tumble Magnet with consistent proliferate on the battlefield is awesome.

Anyway, back to this deck. Most of my basic lands were taken out, so the 2-color land were a LITTLE slower, but the advantage of color fixing was far too great for me to care. I learned that Sleep main deck is evil and that Gideon's first ability followed by a Sunblast Angel let's you laugh maniacally at Vampires. Especially if you have an Abolisher on the field. :D

2-0 against R/B Vamps (I think the red was just for burn spells...) Sunblast Angel, appropriately, destroyed his field and let me swing through with Gideon and a could of huge Avengers. Wish I could find a fourth one. :/
2-0 against U/W control of a slightly different sort than me (poor guy drew 11 of 17 land game 2, though. >.<)
1-2 against UGW Birthing Pod. It was close, though. I kept disabling his Pods with O-Rings and Magnets, tapping down all his really threatening creatures. The end of game two saw, literally ALL of both our O-Rings in a pile in a corner of the field where we'd used that to cancel each other out. I didn't mind getting beat, he definitely had card advantage over me, but it was fun trying.
0-2 against Kuldotha Red. Seriously, with the exception of two Heroes of Oxid Ridge, this guys curve was _2_. I cannot keep up with that. But I damn well tried!

Actually, while I LOVE Venser and abusing his ability, I find that, more often than not, I'm either holding him in hand or sideboarding him out. He's just not optimal for this deck. :/ I think he'll be coming out for either a 3rd Gideon, or even a 3rd O-Ring. Been talking with my BF and we both agree that Venser just needs his own deck filled with targets to abuse. Like Stonehorn Dignitary, Wall of Omens, Spines... yeah. :D

EVERYONE saw the Abolisher and groaned. XD It was kind of hilarious. I lost to a Kuldotha Red deck (way too fast for me) but not before I stalled him to a crawl (well, a crawl for one of the fastest decks in the format). It stopped a Vampire deck from triggering the life loss in response to blocking my 17/17 Avenger and made a Birthing Pod deck panic a few times. SO MUCH FUN.

...Maybe Venser will get replaced with a 3rd Abolisher. :D

I really want to know why cards with Phyrexian mana in the CC always show up as costing one more than they do. >.< Ought to bring this up on the forum...

ANYWAY, the first thing they said when I went to my local store last night was "don't be angry." Well, that's not a good sign, I thought. They showed me the standings for the Thursday tournament.

My tester was in third out of 18 going into round 4, with only the slight changes I mention above. >.< He finished the tournament in second place, trounced by his final opponent.

I don't know all the match details, but apparently the deck had been playing phenomenally, just like it did for me outside of tournaments. When I brought up the fact that I must have doing something wrong in the tournaments, my tester replied, "Nah, I think it was just shit luck."

SO! It is once again Friday and FNM is less than 12 hours away. He we go again.

Yeah, and as the little guys that they are, they die pretty easily... Maybe put in Lightning Greaves/Swiftfoot Boots/Whispersilk Cloak?

Agree with Grim, because otherwise you'll be hurting yourself far too fast for the Bazaar trader to do much good.

Not sure I like the Infuser much either, but I'm not sure what to take out for him... Core Prowlers, maybe? It would make me less color dependent and the Prowlers would be targets for both Tezz and Mishra. Hmm...

I think I'm trying to do too much in here. While the Shrine is AMAZING, it's just a source of food for the Hex Parasites and MAYBE being able to move counters from it to the Reactor. I don't have nearly enough stall or red spells to make it more threatening. SO! I've decided I miss my Magistrate's Scepters. They're going back in. Extra turns > Slowly growing counter battery.

-2 Shrine of Burning Rage, +2 Magistrate's Scepters.

Also, I like Hex Parasite in this deck. I like him a lot.

He would be better if I were running more than one Dark Depths. In casual, I can't guarantee that he'll have a source of fuel outside my own cards PLUS I can only have one Marit Lage out at a time so that benefit is only really good ONCE. However, having artifact creatures is a good thing, So!

-2 Hex Parasite, +2 Coretapper

Adjusting my land as well. I have 8 non-basic red mana sources, I don't need the Mountains.

-2 Mountains, +1 Swamp and +1 Academy Ruins
