Version #2, having taken a lot advice for my best friend. I decided that the way I was envisioning it at first just wasn't going to work. I could easily turn it into a douche-y infinite combo deck or whatever, but what's the fun in that? This version is definite tuned for multiplayer games, and is much more centered on group hugging. Lots of draw for myself and others, lots of mana for myself and others. I have several ways to defend myself and counter if I need to, but in general the plan is group hug avoid, make alliances around the table, try to keep myself safe in general. I do have a couple of ways to produce infinite mana, but that's all I plan on using the infinite combos for (though I did very briefly consider throwing in a single pinger as an alternate wincon). I'll use Kruphy to bank up mana and just bide my time, until a good opportunity to draw someone to death or Memnarch the board arises.
The sideboard listings are my maybe choices. I spent a small eternity trying to get this tuned the way I liked it. There are some great cards that I ended up trimming that I may have to swap back in if it doesn't do what I want. I had to cut some draw away to fit the artifact fixings, but I think overall the artifacts make the deck more dangerous. It can do some really nasty things, or it can play nice and easy.
Kruphix, God of Horizons is my commander. The deck is all about mana abuse and drawing, really.
The theme is Kruphix, God of Kindergartens. He'll give good marks and rewards if everyone plays nice with one another (much mana, much draws), he'll break up fights if the need arises (with fog mechanics, counters, bounces, and so on), and if no one chooses to behave themselves, he'll just take everyone's toys away (Memnarch).
I really wanted to slide in Rebuild (as with infinite mana and Memnarch and/or the Mycosynth, it effectively resets EVERYTHING) as a "Don't make me turn this game around!" threat, but Capsize with infinite mana does effectively the same thing. I also wanted the Colossus of Akros (for the plain, simple reason that I think it's a fun card and with as much mana as a deck like this should be able to generate, it could be really enjoyable) as the as t but ultimately I just can't think of anything I'd slide out for them.
Honestly, if I were to move anything, I should probably put in more mana, Stroke of Genius, or more draw mechanics.
