How to Play

Death is a preferable alternative to communism.

All your creatures live and die for the greater good of you, the commander.

With that out of the way...

Here we improve on a few things from the original 2 year old deck:
1. Altar of the Brood: is an alternate win con where you ping everyone to death by simply getting creature tokens. Useful in later game when player's life's are lower and you have more mana and Ghave enablers.
2. Kaya: provides improved commander recursion as you get to avoid the cost of replaying from command zone if you can get her +1 ability on him. Also her -7 is pretty decent too since if she dies it means you can still play him from grave or play your other Legends from exile. Very nice if you have vorinclex or doubling season to instantly pop this ability as soon as you play her.
3. Liliana: provides improved card draw and token sac'ing synergy.
4. Vorinclex: is essentially another counter doubler like doubling season (it works on ALL counters on both you AND your permanents though, which is better) - strict upgrade to Winding Constrictor
5. Calonian Hydra: is another +1/+1 doubler, and it happens every time it attacks, not only when it comes into play, so it can act as a self-sustaining threat/distraction. (and therefore probably a board wipe magnet)
6. Emiel: is for his flash ability. Might be convenient to regen Ghave's +1/+1 pool suddenly, or Hornet Queen's tokens. Also has some counter synergy.
7. Crested Sunmare: for the indestructible 5/5 horses EVERY end step, not just your own. Somewhat beefy and indestructible is very good.
8. Ozilith: Reyhan upgrade (think of it as a hedge fund that diversifies your portfolio by sending it to the bank - if your creatures are hit with a board wipe your hard assets are still somewhat more safe, as long as the currency itself doesn't crash - ie if an opponent uses an exile "all permanents card"). Also doubles the tokens one more time when they move between permanents if you have Vorinclax or Doubling Season out. If you have just Corpsejack Menace you will see no extra doubling upgrade over Reyhan, however.

Honorable Mentions that didn't make the cut:
1. Grave Pact was removed even though it was nice to have 2 cards with the same effect with Dictate of Erebos... Had to make room for Altar of the Brood.
2. From Beyond, had it in but Ozilith is kinda just a better Reyhan and I realized I removed him for something else and had nothing to fill his shoes.
3. Setessan Champion for card draw... though we reduced the number of enchantments in the deck so ended up removing him again in favor of Liliana. Maybe swap for Cryptolith Rite as that card has rarely come in handy for me as I usually have my tokens attacking or defending as soon as they can...
4. Finale of Glory: for that end game angel token rush just when they think they have you.
