Deck Description

A Phage EDH deck, built around getting her out and harrowing the opponents with her. It also contains many other legendary blacks that support her actions and help clear her field to help her score the deathblow, and can function without her. The black mana ramp isn't bad in playtesting, and a surprise win can come from Death Cloud with enough planning, as well as possibly crippling the competition.

How to Play

Will post after I play a few.

Though the intent is obviously to get Phage out safely and proceed to win with her, either by endless whispers or unblocked attacks. It has enough life drain to be a threat as well as life gain to heal a bit of it back, and a few combos to win the day if need be. I wanted to include some of my favorite black solo card effects that don't normally see my other decks.

But yes, the deck is intended to mill itself to start, after you get crucible of worlds to ensure mana doesn't dwindle. With enough of the rezzes in the deck to promote getting creatures out of the deal, and the ability to play the land out it serves as an extra hand so to speak, and it is the reason for Increasing Ambition, to pull out what I need.

So far things like bubbling muck serve to mana rush more efficiently for more permanent solutions like Liliana, Caged Sun or Nirkhana Revenant.

Obvious combos exist like Phage + Endless Whispers, Mindcrank + Bloodchief Ascension, Mikaeus + Triskelion. But then I also have both soul and prototype foundry to multiply my best artifacts and creatures (I will be adding my sideboard for review later, but it includes say mirrorworks and conjurer's closet for similar effect).

The phyrexian's Core is there to eliminate torpor orb if Endless Whispers and Phage needs to be used.

And then the epic is there with Sadistic Sacrament, if you achieve field position to begin eliminating threats, a sadistic sacrament should allow you to cripple one person's deck from posing any threat (unless it is in their hand) and then the epic will allow you to spread the love around the table, while you maintain dominance with the foundries and ascension to still 'have a turn.'
