Agreed to Snapcaster, changed the deck a bit.

Yeah Ghost Quarter is optional but at that point it is effectively a wasteland. This deck is mostly just trying to slow things down for as long as it can.

If you are going to run banned cards for fun, you may as well run Channel or Hermit Druid too. :-)

As for legal advice. Land Grant seems like a great fit for the deck.

Since you are also trying to hard cast wurms Cavern of souls couldn't hurt.

There are also other options like the Mutavault/Chameleon Colossus + Descendant's Path route.

Sylvian Library never hurts.

You could also go green show and tell with Eureka.

Garruk, Primal Hunter is fun and on theme.

Nissa, Vastwood Seer is nice in a ramp deck.

You could also consider going Scrying Sheets and snow covered basics.

Anyway looks like a lot of fun. Good luck with the deck!

Hi there! Saw this on unloved decks and figured I would give some feed back.

Fun looking deck with lots of power. Basically a non-blue legacy good stuff deck.

I don't feel like you are getting much use out of red in this deck as is. Either cut it to strengthen your land base or add cards that justify it. Kolaghan's Command, Punishing Fire/Grove of the Burnwillows, Chandra Torch of Defiance or a few more Bloodbraid perhaps.

Pack Rat seems a little weak for legacy and Tasigur seems like to much risk for the pay off since you are running dark confident. I would replace them with 4 Tarmogoyf or some number of utility creatures like: Scryb Ranger, Scavenging Ooze, Qasali Pridemage, Gaddock Teeg or Phyrexian Revoker.

Lingering souls is also a thought.

Since you run green, Maelstrom Pulse will be a upgrade over vindicate most of the time. If you cut red you can probably make room for wasteland.

Kitchen fink also seems a little weak for legacy. I would either replace it with Knight of the Reliquary or 3 Liliana of the Veil and 1 Sylvan Library.

Good luck with the deck!

Tried to post a response to this deck the other night but its not here for some reason.

I'll try again.

This deck is awesomely hilarious, thank you for introducing me to it. The best package for didgeridoo I have seen. The trinket mage/Thran Turbine package is really creative.

I have a few thoughts on the deck that could give it more punch.

Man lands could give you a faster clock and more ways to use Thran Turbine. Mutavault gets Minotaur buffs, Mishra's Factory is always great on its own and Faerie Conclave can give you a flying creature.

Mirror Entity counts as a Minotaur and can use Thran Turbine mana. He can be a real bomb as a singleton and even makes a played trinket mage into a Minotaur for lord buffs, trample and haste.

Soothsaying is also a card to look at. It fits with the deck and makes use of Thran Turbine mana. Also gives you a much needed shuffle effect latter in the game.

Speaking of shuffle, it may be worth throwing in a few fetch lands just to give you a shuffle ability for countertop.

Mikokoro, Center of the Sea and Soldevi Excavations just seem too risky.
Mikokoro is cool, but giving your opponent cards just gives them a chance at finding an answer or overwhelming you.
Soldevi Excavations just begs "two for one me with a wasteland". The benefit is way too low for the trouble.

Mental Misstep isn't legacy legal. Maybe go with Chain of Vapor, Vapor snag, or Echoing Truth.

Awesome deck!
Good luck!

Scratch the Glimpse on Scepter, forgot about instant. Still a thought for faster mill.

I'm not a modern player but I can give a few words of advise.
Seems like this deck wants to be some type of turbo fog mill.
I don't think the deck will be able to contain most decks long enough to win. You have no non spell based protection, which means they will eventual get a threat down and kill you before you can mill them with Ashiok or Thought Scour on Isochron. You need to either up your mill cards to win faster, increase your defense or offense ability or a little of both. Glimpse the Unthinkable is nice with scepter.
Deprive seems bad when you are trying to keep lands open to counter and bounce. It's even worse with isochron scepter because you will be bouncing all your own lands each activation. Remand would be much better and is awesome on Isochron Scepter because of the card draw. Even Mana Leak seems much better in most situations.

Likewise, there are better counterspells for the deck other than Dissolve and Void Shatter. Three mana counterspells, regardless of their perks, just seem bad for constructed play. They also have no synergy with Isochron. Consider Remand, Mana Leak, Spell Snare, Negate, Essence Scatter, Countersquall, Psychic Barrier, Rune Snag or Muddle the Mixture. Muddle the Mixture has a nice alternate search function that can find the bounce spell you need or get your Scepter.

Echoing Truth is a better Disperse.

Sphinx's Tutelage or Hedron Crab could give you some much needed mill speed. Propaganda could be a defense option. Jace's Phantasm is a decent offense choice.

Splashing white or green opens the door for Angel's Grace, Holy Day, Silence, Path to Exile, Fog... ect.

Hope that helped, Good luck with the deck!

I have always loved rogues! This looks like a fun deck and it seems like most cards were chosen for personal preference or flavor. However there are a ton of great legacy legal rogues you are missing out on. The most notable is True-Name Nemesis. I also find Cloak and Dagger to be a great piece of equipment that does a lot of what you want to do.

Here is a look at my semi casual tribal rogue deck if you are interested.

HI! I have a few suggestions for you, if you're interested.
Vision Charm is a one mana instant speed mill that also has options for messing with artifacts and lands.
If you can get some fetch lands like polluted delta, they work amazingly well with Hedron Crab. Playing a Delta and then fetching a land will trigger land fall twice and mill 6!
Ashiok, Nightmare Weaver is awesome and gives you much needed continuous mill, but better because it exiles.
One of mill decks biggest problems is that they do not interact with the battlefield at all. To help you stay alive long enough to mill I highly recommend something for defense.
My top choices are Ensnaring Bridge and Propaganda. Lesser options are Riddlekeeper or Fog Bank.
Dimir Charm isn't that bad since it has a mill option/lets you pick your opponents next draw or it can also kill some creatures or counter occasionally. It gives you a little needed interaction.

Good luck with the deck!

I have a similar deck. It does feel a bit more like you have built a zombie aggro deck with a mill splash. I would cut Call to the Kindred. I highly recommend Sword of Body and Mind. It fits with the aggro plan plus it mills 10 and gives you a token to trigger
Altar of Dementia or Altar of the Brood, it can also play defense if need be. I also like Dimir charm as a creature kill, strategic mill and limited counterspell.

Hi! I really like the deck. Particularly your inclusion of Descendants' Path which I may playtest in a deck I have. I have a similar casual legacy deck but I went with Humans with +1/+1 theme instead of only allies. I wanted to share a card that you may have overlooked but works extremely well with creatures with counters on them.
Mirror Entity. He is often a power house and a good unexpected win condition. Since he is a changeling he counts as a Ally and still triggers Descendant's Path. His pump ability increases the base power and toughness of your creatures and they still get the bonus of any +1/+1 on them so all your creatures will get huge quickly. Mirror Entity can pump your creatures even more massively with Harabaz Druid since you are already running him.
Here is a link to my similar deck if you are interested. http://www.mtgvault.com/mursh/decks/gw-human-11-overrun/

Good luck with the deck!

I really like the deck!

I am a sucker for non-traditional Mill brews. I thought of a few things when i saw this deck and figured I would suggest them and see if you like any.

Brain Freeze could have a nice home in this deck and give you an alternative mill option. It and your free artifacts could realistically mill for 12 on turn 2 pretty regularly.

As far as mana gain with Equilibrium all I can think of is run Cloudpost, Glimmerpost, Vesuva package or even Urza's Mine, Urza's Power Plant, Urza's Tower package with Cloud of Faeries. I know they aren't artifacts but they are "free to play" and the Post lands could be a nice option for the deck regardless.

You could also run Etherium Sculptor and/or Helm of Awakening which could let you go infinite with Myr Retriever pretty easily.
Also if you run Sensei's Divining Top you go infinite with Etherium Sculptor and/or Helm of Awakening and multiple Sensei's Divining Top.

Good luck with the deck!

Hi there!

I like the deck! I have a Haakon build that run Tibalt too!

I think you would be much better off running some smaller mana cost knights and dropping Urza's Incubator from the deck. Dark Ritual has its moments but I feel like you are better off going lower cmc creatures and cutting it as well. If you are relying too much on those two cards to give the deck its speed your going to have inconsistent games and slow games. I fear you will have either explosive games or games where you never get things online.
Nameless Inversion is amazing with Haakon.
I love all your creature selections other than Lim-Dul's Paladin. As much as I love that you are using this oldie, he just doesn't have the right kind of synergy in my opinion. You have a creature buffing and battlecry effects strategy going, but since they will never block him, he doesn't benefit. His discard effect is at the upkeep which seems like the worse time for it. If Haakon isn't in play his discard effect is strictly negative.

Here is a link to my deck if you are interested.

I like your tribal brews, I may comment on some of them also.
Good luck with the deck!

I really like this build a lot. I have been playing around with Titania in loam builds for a while now and really like the card.

You may consider Thrun in place of the 2nd Oracle since you have GSZ to look for either.
Also I have been running a single Kessig Wolf Run.
Scavenging Ooze would also be nice to squeeze into the deck in place of the 2nd Eternal witness or the 4th Knight.
A Living Wish or 2 may also be interesting, I think I will play around with that, possibly in Entombs place. I do really enjoy Entomb in the build however.

Either way great job with this build, I love it!

True name does certainly just flat out win the game when he hits the boards most games, but I still like jitte. Its still very possible to get out raced by a flipped delver or 2 since they have likely already dealt damage a turn or two before True name has hit the board. Jitte also is great at shooting down trouble some V. Clique and can give me a chance vs Elves. Its even good at taking out Deathrite Shaman, Young Pyro, sometimes helps vs Stoneforge Mystic or can even kill tokens before they get equiped. Its a colorless source of -1/-1 effect that is just plan good against a lot of decks. It can also pump True-name Nemesis to a 7/5 or more with lords in play to help close out the game quicker than they can recover or find a Terminus, Golgari charm, councils judgement or other effect to deal with it. It can also pump and save True-Name from -1/-1 effects if you haven't been able to get a lord in play. There have also been a lot of games where True Name is stuck being my defense instead of my offense, like forced blocking a 6/7 Goyf for example.

I guess I am just trying to say you would be much better with a Jitte in the board than you are with a single stifle, it will do much more work for you.

I posted a bit more as a reply to your comment on my deck. Again this is a solid build and I have ran a more or less Identical build to get success in the past. Time will tell if Merfolk makes a come back in this form or a chalice form now that Treasure Cruise is banned.

Cheers!

Haha yes, I hate Abrupt decay. It is largely responsible for the recent fall of Merfolk, but its still a good deck. Merfolk is pretty supported creature type so we should eventually see the deck rise again with new tech. We really need a Merfolk lord or other playable effect that gives hexproof or shroud. Then we wouldn't have to worry about Abrupt Decay or Swords to plowshare. We may have to dream on that one for a while.

I understand counter spell isn't idea but it seems necessary in the chalice and no vial strategy. Its really important that I get my second land down as fast as possible to get Chalice on 1. Additionally it is nice to have a hard counter that is relevant after the 1st 1-3 turns. Plus we still have Cursecatcher.

Cosi's Trickster has had mixed performance but I still have generally liked him. I have gotten him pretty big very quickly if he is dropped on turn 1, especially after a couple lords get into play. He also helps get the mana curve down a bit since I am missing Vials. That's the main reason I have him in marrow's place.

Either way I can't say that this build is strictly better than the more classic build. It largely depends on the meta. When U/R Delver became so dominant the Chalice strategy was a must just to have a chance. We will see how things shift post Treasure Cruise ban.

Thanks for the comment!
