Deck Description

An very old multiplayer deck that I used to play before EDH/Commander was a thing. With a few mods over the years. Original finisher was Spirit of the Night. Only 1 scrubland because its all I had and still have. Karakas and Urborg were cheap back then and it was useful to annoy others. Remove Karakas and Scrubland and its a really budget deck. But I promise you in multiplayer its a beast.

How to Play

Early game throw out some pro-black weenies. Turn 4 drop the Takklemaggot on another weenie and watch your opponents kill each others creatures and look confused reading the maggot's text. While they are busy doing that drop COP: Black and Pestilence and start pinging away during there combat phases to kill off the rest. now card advantage is in your favor and are damaging everyone at once. Now EVERYONE will attack you. Time to use your Deathlace. I am the only person I ever saw use Deathlace or any lace really. but in this deck its just incredibly powerful. Oh you cast Inferno to kill all my creatures Deathlace it. You have some big green beatstick creature Deathlace it. Now just use Disenchant and Swords to Plowshares to remove anything that must go and Pestilence everyone to death.

Use Obsidian Acolyte for politics and to force Tacklemaggot on the creatures you want. If a player is playing black at the table completely ignore them. You own them. They wont attack you because you have so much anti-black. Concentrate on the rest and let that player help you in the fight. Then double cross them at the end because there isn't much they can do about it.

Deck discussion for Pestilence (Old School)

I played something similar back durng Urza's Saga and remember it as a fun and forceful deck. Try adding Treacherous Link to double damage to an opponent from pestilence. Personal Sanctuary also works if you activate pestilence mostly on your turn. You could also add a few extort cards to the mix ( Blind Obedience).
