I don't own this deck or have played it... I'd be interested to know how it tests for you. The main deck seems alright but the land distribution is probably somewhat mediocre. I suggest you look into other esper builds and use your best judgment on how to fix it (a.k.a I'm too lazy to do this myself haha).

Yes I think Sorin would work well in this lifegain deck. However, I still stand by the fact that Brimaz is not very good. That flashy token effect of his is very rarely impactful and you start realizing you wish you used a more impactful 4 or 5 mana card. I would sell him before his price drops. You are better off using Archangel of Thune, though I dislike her in this build as well. Try to find some smaller aggro drops (like soldier of the pantheon) to fit your deck or find something with lifegain synergies.

1. I've tested Brimaz a lot and he is rather lackluster in standard. The reason why he is used in modern is because that's a low drop format and the 4 toughness gives it durability from lightning bolt. If you can, find a better replacement for it.

2. Splashing blue for ephara doesn't seem all that great. And you only run 1 so the chances of you reaping benefits from her effect is unlikely. I would splash either red for something like Iroas, God of Victory or black for Obzedat - who is probably the most powerful creature in Standard before he rotates out - which gives you access to Read the Bones, Hero's Downfall, etc.

3. Wall of Essence seems like a mediocre card. Any card that offers your opponent to interact tends to backfire or provide minimal advantage. That's why Athreos never lived up to the hype.

4. You may consider sticking with one color and adding in a lot of auras. Divine favor and ethereal armor are fantastic for this sort of deck. I've seen a deck built around chalice of life as well, which your deck can abuse in conjunction with a late game control card like Obzedat!

5. Someone recommended Archangel of Thune. For me, the card is a bit slow and not impactful unless you stick her in a control deck. Like you said, Stormbreath is a big problem. Splashing black for Obzedat - who outraces even Hellkite and Stormbreath - and downfall for these bigger RG threats could improve the deck.
