Radiant Fountain is okay card, and it could work in artifact-based decks, since they don't need that much colorful mana.
Negate can be used in order to replace Cancel, as long as you have something to deal with their creatures.

Well, if you ask me straight, I think that this deck wouldn't work too well in FNM.
All the decks there are at least worth of 200 bucks, thanks to their fancy rare lands and the newest and strongest combo cards. This deck might be good, but I'm afraid not that good.

...and yeah, about the deck's combos:

-Maybe the most evil combo is Darksteel Citadel + Ensoul Artifact. Darksteel Citadel is an indestructible land card, which is also an artifact. Ensoul Artifact can make any artifact into 5/5 artifact creature, so if you cast this on the Citadel, it becomes 5/5 artifact creature. Though it doesn't lose its original abilities, so it is 5/5 artifact creature that is also INDESTRUCTIBLE. That's just mean.

-Chief Engineer is also a great card. It basically means that you'll be able to cast your artifacts very cheap if you tap some of your untapped creatures while you cast them.

-Meteorite is also pretty cool. You can cast it to kill small creatures, use it as mana, then sacrifice it with Shrapnel Blast to deal 5 damage! That's sweet!

Also, this is my 3000th post on this site! Rejoice!

Great ideas, friend. Though the Shield works best in decks that contain creatures that are both green and white.
Anyways, adding some cards.

If you wish so, I can cook up a black-green-insect-deck for you.

Ahh, Sol Ring... What a stereotypic card for EDH decks... I consider about it.

When I see Cloudstone Curio and some Kobolds in the same deck, it brings to my mind one card and one card only:
Grapeshot.

Actually, Pulse Tracker could fit even better than the Tormented Soul! Thanks!
Though it often dies on the first time it attacks...

The best side about this deck is when you pronounce it:
"U R Heroic."
