I had painful thoughts thinking should I add the Paladin when I was creating this deck.
Is it too complicated for some starters? All starters aren't smart... I've seen it far too many times...

Wirewood Herald sounds good though...

Thanks about the suggestions, but lets go through few things:
-cards like Profane Command would be far too complicated cards to some starters, surely not for all of them, but for some people... Plus it is pretty priceful = I try to avoid cards like that in Starter Budget.
-I also think that unblockable creatures do not belong in here.
-Blood Artist would fit like a dream, but as I said, too priceful.

Do I mind if you call me Northern? Not at all.
I have couple of nicknames around here. Northy is what I prefer, but some other examples are Warlord, NorWar, WarWar (PhyrexianPossum uses that one)...

If you really want to add some more lands, I would suggest removing at least one Awe Strike.
Maybe one Ajani's Mantra too.

This is pretty great deck! Also not too priceful!
Searing Meditation comboes with many cards of this deck, as long as you have some spare mana.
I suggest adding one or two more lands, but I'm not sure if that's recuired.
