Deck discussion for Army of Darkness

I would drop the vampire's bite and the Guul Draz assassins and basilisk collars for 3 Gatekeeper of Malakir. 1 more Vampire Nocturnus. 2 blade of the bloodchief and pulse tracker and sign in blood.
Sign in blood can be used offensively and for card draw. The blades are far better then the collars in a vampire deck. Pulse tracker is a 1 drop that awesome. You could consider Vampire lacerator there instead. My experience with the assassins is that the cost of 4 mana to get him to level 2 is not worth it.
also since you are running 4 bloodchief ascensions i would run more highborns instead Mirri

I'll take a look at implementing some of these changes. Some of those cards I really wanted to put in but wasn't sure what to pull out so this is useful. I am a bit hesitant to pull the collars because I really like the lifelink/deathtouch combo and trying to keep as much lifegain as possible in but maybe I can run 2 of those and 2 of the bloodchiefs. I'll also take another look at the Pulse Tracker, my initial thought was the Assassin would be better but I'll take another look. I see what you mean about the Highborns vs. Mirri as well. Thanks for the advice.

If you're running 4 basilisk collars you should use red in your deck for Captain and Olivia. If you're wondering what cards to replace for them i'd suggest the Assassin and Mirri.

I originally was building a Black/Red Vampire deck and decided I should split them up into two decks because I was just trying to pack in too many different things that didn't mesh as well as I hoped. So now I have a mono-Black and mono-Red vampire deck that are a little more focused on their strengths. I will probably take another look at a Black/Red deck again in the future but for now I'm working on these.

My Red vampire deck, if anybody has advice there as well.

the assassin is one of those cards that on paper looks sweet but like most level up cards fails miserably in games. By the time you get to use him he gets removed, they have been given 2-4 free turns and you have no other threats out. Vampires are better when played aggro. I prefer vampire lacerator currently but i switch them in and out. Dont worry about losing a life cause as long as you are swinging with it every turn its either dealing damage, killing creatures or dying. Pulse tracker is super nice too tho

Also Gatekeeper of Malakir is such a beast card. Its a removal and 2/2 creature for 3 and since you are running mono black (the way to go in my opinion) the cost will never be an issue
