What about using "Heartless Pillage" instead of "Mind Rot", same mana cost and effect but you also get the "raid" trigger.

Have you thought about using the pain lands (brushland, battlefield forge)? I believe they would gain you life off of Tamanoa.

I think you have x2 too many "crook of..." in your sideboard

Looking to try something with the sideboard, so I added two more "Quest for the Nihil Stone". One of the big problems is getting around hexproof (so I can't make them discard, or hit them for damage). I had taken "Smallpox" out for a while, but added it back in once more people around here started giving themselves hexproof. So my anti-hexproof arsenal, has "smallpox", "liliana of the veil" and in the sideboard "delirium skeins" and "Quest for the Nihil Stone". Most of that is discard spells, the "quest" will take the place of either "the rack" or "shrieking affliction" to get in for damage.

I just built the "Hunted Orb" deck from Giant Monster Games and I enjoy it, and this reminds me of it. I'm going to have to look into this!

I have thought of doing something along these lines a few times, I really like this! I hadn't considered "Mercy Killing" or "Hissing Miasma", so thanks for putting me onto those. I had thought of using "Blood Reckoning", though Miasma is probably better. I also had "Killing Wave", though the damage on that is optional (does get around hexproof though I believe).

I forgot I added "Dissipation Field" as well, forget what I took out for it.

Got some new stuff so I made a few changes:

"Endure" is out and "Riot Control" is in
"Rule of Law" and "Swords to Plowshares" are out because they draw to much attention, "Temple Bell" and "Privileged Position" are in.
"Collective Restraint" isn't as useful because of how few basics I run, "Teferi's Protection" is in.

I made several changes to the sideboard: Added two copies of "Thundermaw Hellkite" because I see a lot of people using "Lingering Souls" at my store. "Peak Eruption" to go in against players using red mana, for when "Blood Moon" would be less than effective. "Sowing Salt" to make Tron players more miserable.

Took out "Lightning Greaves" for the same reason and put in the copy of "Enchanted Evening" I just got :)

I got rid of "Swiftfoot Boots" because I don't always even play my commander and I figured I didn't need as much protection for him. I added in the copy of "Forced Fruition" I just traded for.

I actually had that in before I remembered "Dictate of Kruphix", maybe I'll sneak it back in somehow. Also, I use Starcity Games Creature Collection "Goose of Saint Traft" sleeves for the extra silliness.

Another round of sweeping changes, especially for the land base. With the release of "Modern Masters 2017" I actually got my hands on fetch lands to make the mana flow easier and thin out the deck a bit so I draw fewer lands late game (hopefully). I took out the "fog", "howling mine" and "Chandra's phoenix" cards and added the "Ajani Vengeant", the "Molten Vortex" (to get rid of unwanted lands), "Guttersnipe" to deal more damage and more "boros charms". This deck went from relatively inexpensive to gross because of the lands, which I'm not crazy about, but it does work pretty well. I actually want to add in more green spells to make use of the green mana I can generate, anyone have any ideas in that regard?

What do you think about adding some creatures that have "when this dies, draw a card"? For instance, "Palace Familiar" I believe was common. There were others that were standard a little while ago, "Youthful Scholar" etc. Chump blockers to buy time and draw cards.

Sweet Christmas, this deck is just evil...I like it!

Made another series of changes, added another creature ("Chandra's Phoenix" for some flying attack power, and it will keep coming back as I cast spells), working on the land some more to make it flow easier, and I changed the name because the "turbo" part of it has been trimmed down as well as the fog.

I really like the concept and I want to try this myself! It seems like it will be a lot of fun once it gets going, thanks for the idea :)

I made several changes to the deck since I posted it, including adding a deck description (sorry for not adding that!). I changed up the lands a bit, and plan to change it more when I get more copies of "Rootbound Crag". I moved "Anger of the Gods" to the mainboard and reduced the copies of "Fog" for now. "Boros Charm" I think is the only new addition.

I love Mardu, and I have had the new Odric for a while and haven't used him in anything. I think I'll try this sometime :)

I added "Morsel Theft" because why not add that crime to the list ;)
