Deck Description

“Memories and possibilities are even more hideous than realities.” -- H.P. Lovecraft.

This is my Sakashima EDH, designed to copy and steal the very best aspects of another's deck and turn them against their owner. This deck, more than any of my other EDH lists, is designed mostly for the pure fun that can be had with it. No game is quite the same.

Deck discussion for Memories and possibilities

Oh man this deck. It honestly makes you consider playing your big fatty bomb for fear it'll get stolen or copied. Good times =P

Of Herbert West, who was my friend in college and in after life, I can speak only with extreme terror... While he was with me, the wonder and diabolism of his experiments fascinated me utterly, and I was his closest companion. Now that he is gone and the spell is broken, the actual fear is greater. Memories and possibilities are ever more hideous than realities. - Dan Cain*, from Herbert West—Reanimator.
*Name from the short film adaptation Re-Animator.

While that book is called the worst of Lovecraft's works, I quite enjoyed it.

Sakashima is one of my favorite options for a Blue general, and this is so well done I can't help but smile. I am however surprised by the lack of Old Man of the Sea, I would much rather see it in my hand than Tolarian Enforcer most of the time. Also, I just can't help but love it as a Hemingway fan.

Odd that it's called one of his worst, as I find it to be one of my favorites. Ah well, de gustibus non est disputandum.

While I cannot say that Sakashima is my best general, I find him to be one of my more enjoyable. The variability from game to game is staggering. As for Old Man of the Sea, while I adore the card, I've found it quite inconsistent what with the tendency of EDH decks to derail towards "battle cruiser magic". I too, am a devout fan of Hemingway's works. I must say, and please do not take this the wrong way, for an american you have extraordinary good tastes.

I don't know if I would count it amongst my favorites of his, but it is certainly good. Rather I think I would say that the Colour out of Space, or Dagon would be my favorites.

There's something to be said for the variance of EDH, and with Sakashima it can be said again. I think my reliance on Old Man of the Sea in EDH could stem from our tempo-esque building philosophies. I can't tell you the number of people I've met who despise Hemingway, it's always nice to find one who can appreciate his work. And I can only take that as a compliment, it could only be construed as backhanded if I held the average taste of Americans in high regard.

This American just made a William Shakespeare Flavor Text deck:

There you go, for literary style.

I apologize for the tardiness of my reply, but I've been most busy as of late. And as much as I would gladly give any advice I could, it appears the deck is nonexistent. Perhaps it was an incorrect link? The above Shakespeare deck link is clearly incorrect, so it's not out of the question.

Sorry. Erased the Khans deck...the mechanics did not properly work.
I was trying to Blink/Flicker in Thousand Winds...and turning him face up.
I did not know that when you Blink him in it isn't considering turning him face up.

Shakespeare link is this one:

I don't know much about Khans of Tarkir, other than 'Clever Impersonator' and the elderly copy card; 'Copy Artifact' - which is a 'Sensei's Divining Top' for 1{U}

^_^

And you get a sheer +1 for the use of Vesuvan Doppelganger - one of my personal favorites "back-in-the-day"

Damn good job, yes! I very much like this
