Probably, yeah. It depends a bit on everyone's local metagame, and I don't usually have anyone else to play against. Yeah, I could see swapping it out for another playset of creatures. Maybe Hitchclaw Recluse, if you don't mind pushing more 3-drops. Or Loam Larva might be good, though weaker physically.

Throw Fusillade in with Brain in a Jar, though, and you can cast it for essentially one mana, leaving all but two permanents open to ping.

I'd just thought of that before I went to bed. Swap out Sight of the Scalelords for it, make Skulk more reliable. I'll change it again when I get home and can use the decklist from Cockatrice to put the right lands back.

Alright, good call. I put together the mana base before I finished building the deck, while I was still looking at some other black creatures. Namely, Farbog Revenant. I hadn't noticed afterward that only 8 cards here use black mana. I'll tidy that up. Thank you. :)

True. Flame Fusillade I didn't really add to go with Harness the Storm. I added it for extra reach- all my lands, creatures, enchantments, and Planeswalkers could ping!- and to give me a little more in my 4-drop slot to even out my mana curve. Fiery Temper would be better though.... Yeah, I'll swap it out. Thanks. :)

Jace doesn't have the control over discard that I'm looking for. I only want to mill out when I'm sure I've got Laboratory Maniac. I wish there had been some mono-blue Transmute cards for 4 CMC.

It's tricky, sometimes, trying to find all the relevant cards on Gatherer without wading through a dozen or more pages. Thanks for the suggestion, it's perfect.

Okay, first thing first- can I use Cockatrice on my phone? I don't have my laptop right now.
Second, I don't have the luxury of a set regular schedule. I work odd days and hours, and when I'm not at work I'm expected to be home cleaning. So I don't think that's really an option for me right now.

I don't play Commander competitively. The only people I really have to play against are my two brothers, but one's at college in Tennessee and the other never wants to duel. So I build decks online. I'm excited that people are starting to take notice of them. One, my Storm Crow Ascending deck, even made McArtor's Mentions in Gavin Verhey's ReConstructed article last week.

Thanks for the advice, both of you. I did add a couple of those in place of Forest, but I'd prefer keeping a lot of them.

I had thought Disentomb felt a bit odd in this deck, so I replaced it with a few removal spells. Avenging Arrow especially feels right in this deck, I think. Thanks for the advice.

I literally just slapped my forehead and called myself an idiot. How did I never realize how great Prophet of Kruphix is with Inspired creatures?
But, though these are pretty great and all, what's this deck's end goal? How does it plan to win? God-Favored General is good, but it could probably use some alternatives.

Nice. Congregate and Dryad's Caress wouldn't be bad additions.
