http://www.mtgvault.com/ruskiodoe/decks/the-5th-element-plus-2-more/ I changed the name of the deck so that made the link invalid lol. Let me know what you think.

I have two of them in a deck similar to this and can vouch for their effectiveness. I use smokebraider and Incandescent soulstoke to get him out as early as possible, and to ensure that you have something to champion when he comes in. Then Mimic Vat him and cast a hasted version of him every turn :at your opponents face :).

Lightning serpent isn't very efficient for it's mana cost tbh. It pretty much works as a weaker ball lightning. Paying x to give something +1+1 for a turn just isn't a good enough use of mana. My two cents anyway.

Nice deck idea. Check out my elemental burn deck here if you like? It's a bit of a different take on the same idea as this deck, but using Mimic Vat and Primal forcemage amongst others. http://www.mtgvault.com/ruskiodoe/decks/elemental-vat-in-your-face/

My two cents worth. Keep the deck B/W and run 4x crypt ghast and 2x Lilliana of the dark realms for mana ramp.

Awesome looking deck mate, +1 from me. I havn't seen anything quite like this before and I value originality over anything else when deck constructing. Good job.

Not a bad idea. I will play test it and see if it would benefit. I would mostly use this in a multi-player format tbh though, so in that situation, not having enough land to get the big guys out is less relevant than duelling.

Another awesome card. Although green's sun's Zenith has better tempo as the creature come's out straight away, I do like the added flexibility that primal command offers, and I think primal command could potentially be better in some instances. I'd have to play test to see which suits better tbh.

I've actually got one of those in my folder, but alas only 1, so he can't go in until I get another 1x of him. Great call though yeah.

Thanks for the input. I don't actually rate her that much as she wont often be efficient, especially in this deck with so many 1 drops. I do agree though that there needs to be more ways to tutor mossbridge troll, so 2x green suns zenith are going in.

There you go. It's a mostly black deck but splashes a little white to take advantage of gift of immortality. http://www.mtgvault.com/ruskiodoe/decks/black-sun-reborn/ Let me know what you think as I'm always looking for ways to improve.

Awesome deck. I actually run something very similar apart from I don't run any green. My creatures can die, but usually I can steal enough of them with necroskitter that it doesn't really matter :). Also, you should consider skinrender! I'll post mine on here when I get a chance so you can compare notes lol.

I just checked your deck list out and noticed you had an elemental deck. Go check out my version of it and let me know what you think if you like? http://www.mtgvault.com/ruskiodoe/decks/elemental-vat-in-your-face/

How about Sakura-Tribe Eldar? I did run him in a previous version of this as he fits the theme better, he just doesn't abuse Lotus cobra as much as Harrow, but then he can still be used as a creature if I choose not to sac him later game. Hmm.

Deck gets +1 from me btw, cool idea. I have a Kresh Sac dec not massively dissimilar to this if you fancy checking it out: http://www.mtgvault.com/ruskiodoe/decks/kreshs-anthem/. I did originally toy with the idea of running Hellkite overlord in that deck too btw.

Oh and lastly, Harrow is there purely to ramp and take advantage of Lotus Cobra's mana abilities, as without it this deck wouldn't be nearly as fast. This would be fine in a multiplayer format, but duelling I find that the extra speed makes quite a difference.

I actually used to run this with coat of arms, but the coat has two issues: Firstly, I play against a fair few tribe based decks, so coat actually often helps them more than it helps me :/, secondly, the door can actually mean that even if I don't have many snakes on the board (if they've been wrathed etc), then when I get some snakes out later, they will still be big the moment they hit play!

As for the snake Umbra, well firstly it's snake based lol, and secondly it gives me a way to further protect Seshiro from getting doom-bladed. Also, if I can get it attached to Ohran Viper, who already draws a card if he deals damage, he gets double the advantage (or they put something in the way and it always dies to his deathtouch but not deathtouch ability).
