Thanks for the advice. I know I should run 4 inkmoths but I only want to put cards in the deck I actually have, and I only own 1 of them. I was going to go into a tournament tomorrow so wouldn't have had time to buy them. Might buy more now i'm not entering anymore.

I was also wondering about the overwhelming stampede. I realised it's high mana, but I like my love of the card won out. I'll remove it.

I feel stupid about forgetting throne of geth/glissa engine, thank for reminding me. That was just my silly mistake (i've got certainly 1 in my other deck if you look). Unfortunately i've only got 2 Core Prowlers and 2 Throne of Geths so that's all I can put in (I think, i'll check tomorrow)

I wasn't sure about the blightwidows, i've made a bird deck recently and it beats most of my mates because they have no flying defence, I realise there are the plague myrs adn the inkmoth nexus but I still like to make sure i've got something to block fliers, but you're right. I should be aggro-ing.

Overall, thanks for the advice. I've got quite a good infect deck already but this is the first Green/Black infect i've made, so I made some rookie errors. =D

I think the problem you are having with your mana originates from only have 20 lands in a 60 card deck. Personally I never play short of 22 lands, often playing 24 lands. In most cases it's better to be over-landed than under-landed.

Stemming from this is the fact you're playing white/blue with only potentially 8 blue mana, only 4 of which is reliable (the chancery). If you can either kill the blue mana cards, or as i've found swap some of the plains for some mystic gates. Though you'll need to be careful not to kill the mana curve again as it costs a mana to get the blue mana from it.

Hope that helps

I agree with L3m0'. It doesn't have enough kill and it's not reliable enough to get an +x/+x trample elf. For example, it's you play against a red burn deck, your opponent doesn't even have to target you, only having 1/1s isn't good enough really. You need some proper powerhouses like those mentioned above for a reliable win.

You need to try and have multiple combo's and win conditions whilst staying focused. And L3m0' os right, the spashed blue isn't necessary, if anything it only makes the deck more unfocused.

Hope that helps.

Drowned catacombs and Jwar Isle Refuges will help.

Personally I think you should take the green out considering you are only splashing it anyway. And i'd take out the trigon of thought and trigon of infestation (only if you take the green out). Try putting some thrumming birds in instead of the rot wolves.

And instead of the trigons try using ichorclaw myrs and corpse curs, completely different I know but better in my opinion.

Unfortunately it's starting to sound alot like my deck (though it did start out similar to start with), if you wanna see where i've gone with it have a look: http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=141876

Whilst a planeswalker only deck may sound fun... they don't really work. Without checking the cheapest planeswalker is 3 mana. That's a possible 3 turns to be attacked in. A good aggro deck would have killed or crippled you by then, especially a fast infect deck.

Then you have to worry about the lack of defence you still have when you have a planewalker on the field, because the chances of your enemy attacking it are slim. OR if you're unlucky, they might have enough stuff on the field to attack you and your planeswalkers.

Then you have the problem that most of the planewalkers end up buffing creatures as their final ability... take garruk wildspeaker for example. Say you get him to full and you activate his ability in the minimum possible time, that's +3/+3 and trample to all creatures, even if you had a planeswalker dropping tokens everywhere (i.e elspeth), the ability is still fairly wasted.

And this is ignoring the chances of you not having the mana you want because you've either not drawn the correct land or you've had to play land tapped every turn because you're playing nonbasic land, thus delaying every possible move you have by a turn.

Just my 2 cents.

Swap out the chalices for 2 corpse curs, then with throne of geth you have a never ending poliferate engine (though only effective once per turn)

Also wouldn't bother with the blightsteel, if you're playing infect you want to have won before you have 11 mana.

And swap necropedes for plague stingers... infinitely more annoying IMO. And drop 1/2 contagion clasps, 3 clasps are unneccessary... in fact i've taken them all out of my infect deck as they weren't being used. Maybe use a contagion engine instead.

Ok, just my thoughts on this deck:

1) 16 Mountains is not enough, no matter how cheap the cards are, 16/60 are not good enough odds.
2) Lightning Bolts??
3) To expand on this, this is a red deck with no instants or sorcery, it doesn't matter what you think about it, mono red decks must be packed full of burn instant and sorceries.
4) Think about a Fire Servant, it's a quest for the pure flame in permanant form.
5) Where is the constant damage coming from because as soon as the cheap creatures die, you have nothing left to win with

6)If she really wants a good red deck, that's fun to play with and does consistent damage, buy her one of these: http://www.gameslore.com/acatalog/Games_MTG_Special_Sets_35.html

Personally i'd take out the pillars and add the obelisks in instead. And swap out your Druid of the Anima for 4 Birds of Paradise, because you don't need the white mana the Druids are giving you. Put 2/3 of the tainted strikes in, which should be playable with potentially 8 black mana
