You need to make this into legacy, Jones. :-)

Mystic er en fin idé. Tjekker lige revoker.

Get in viscera seer, will help you manipulate your top card, and is great with 4x bloodghast. Furtermore the blade of the bloodchief creates huge threats when attached to a vampire. Like the dark depths in there. I have a b/r legacy vamp amongst my decks, check it out if you feel like it.

I like the general idea of the deck.

Exploration and burgeoning are faster than Gaea's Touch as you can start your extra-landropping on round 1 instead of 2. Then you got the possility to sac the touch for 2 mana, which is okay considering you need the 5-drop lost in the woods for the lockdown.

Also there is Mul Daya Oracle that would work great with this deck.

We still have a lot to learn as well. We only just moved from casual vintage to legacy - and started playing with sideboard.

Our group except a few posts their decks on the vault, you will see many of these usernames in the replies on Crown various deck:

Kresten - Nario - Bahrenscheer

We all make decks in Legacy now if you're at some point interested in seeing other (mostly non-blue) legacy decks ;)

Cheers right back at you!

And here is Mursh's legacy painter deck.. it's pretty similar to yours.

He runs 4x Ancient Tomb, and I would say that thats the way to go rather than go more traitors. Might drain your life, but if you wont get your win in that particular round, you can drop a land and try again next turn instead of loosing traitors to drop more land.

Furthermore as use Nario has told you before in another context you should have at least 1 basic land of each of you main types to avoid problems with wasteland/crucible combo. Right now you only have an island, but I would encourage you to get 1 mountain in there as well. Also I wonder if 3x Tezz is too many, but then again it could be the right amount. He is just a 5-drop that you have to hardcast, which is quite expesive compared to the rest of the deck.

Maybe you can pack in Kokusho as a win condition with Recurring Nightmare or maybe thats too slow. would suggest stuff like Entomb and Buried alive to get some critters into your graveyard. I like the discard aspect of your deck. Perhaps you can benefit from adding elements of dregde in the mix.

Recurring Nightmare.. I don't know why I have believed it was banned when it clearly isn't. Wicked card. Perhaps I should get me a couple of them to revive my B/G again... It's been on the shelf since we moved into legacy and I lost my tutors and sotf to the legacy-ban. Wouldn't be costly too make this change as I have bayous, fetches and overgrown tombs, as well as GSZ, Dismembers and Maelstrom Pulses.

Recurring Nightmare could be cool in a modular deck.. where every little sucker you sac leaves an imprint of counters on your remaining minions.

You commented my friends deck some time ago, but since then our group as well has moved into legacy, so the deck you commented is now adjusted and looks alot like your Painter-deck. Your can take a look here: http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=186188

and if you spend you 3 spare mana in round 3 on a final fortune, you get a extra round and win there.

or

1: land + bird
2: land + stalker + bird
3: cradle + natures will + aggravated assault - untaps all you lands and round 3 win

Round 4 would then be Aggravated and win. This could be done with Bear umbra or sword instead of Natures Will.

if you can haste a Nature's will in along with a invisiblle stalker, your game will accelerate crazy from there on.

1: Land + bird
2: Land + invisible stalker + (something for 1 mana)
3: Land + Natures Will - Leads you to untap all three of your lands that turn, and build something additional for your 3 lands.

try to mix in blue, or make a RGU version of this.. I think blue might have some stuff that could be usefull in terms of dropping some of your things faster and getting the things you need.
