Deck Description

This deck's nickname is simply "Nope." lol.

"Ok, I'm gonna play-" "Nope."
"Well then I'll-" "Nope."
"How about-" "Nope."
"....I'm scooping." "OK!"

Simple Azorius control dickery. I hate playing against it, but I love dishing it out. I'm usually an aggro player though, so I'm sure it needs work. Suggestions appreciated!

How to Play

Ideally the point is to get the Scepter out ASAP and get a Silence or Chant on it. Elite can do it do, later in the game, for a draw or counter spell. Grand Abolisher stops your opponent from playing spells on your turn, so you just gotta keep them tied down on their turn and you should be set! Sovereign makes their stuff enter tapped, and Delver and Champion are just low drops that become bigger hitters.

Deck discussion for "Nope"

Since your not concerned with modern legality Preordain, Ponder and Brainstorm are all better choices then Serum Visions.

Brainstorm is much better, you are right. Thank you!

Brainstorm is only "great" with ways to shuffle your library, besides that its still good, just not as good.

what about reflector mage or meddling mage?

They are both very killable...

Brainstorm I can slap on Scepter or Arcanist. Then I can keep my draws the way I want turn after turn.

But thank you for your comment!

Bwahahahaha! This is so funny. Use Silence on Elite Arcanist or Isocron Sceoter, and activate at the begining of each turn! they would just scoop!

It's more of a soft lock, they can still destroy the scepter in response to it's activation.
Still a very strong combo, but not untouchable.

Not much in Magic is untouchable. lol. Theres usually a way around everything. But it is a very fun deck to play. My fiance and friends hate it.

casual magic and commander ALWAYS demands main deck artifact and enchantment hate for exactly that reason.
and there are lots of things that can't be touched, just most cost a decent penny.

All you need now is stuff like Howling Mine and Angel's Grace to make it an Azorius Turbo-fog deck! Which is not fun to verse!

Well done, what a great suggestion for this deck. Angel's Grace will be that added insurance just in case a aggro deck get a little to big of a jump start on you.

Yeah, it's just that I have seen something similar before. Instead of using creatures, they just used draw things like Howling Mine and Jace Beleren to make the most confusing mill deck ever

overdraw is the way to go in any commander-type mill deck, as it makes people think you are helping them until to late.

Is mana-screw a problem for you? I feel like there's too little lands...

you have to look at the mana cost and mana-ramp of a deck as well as land number. I know someone who built a working ramp deck with sixteen lands. the CMC curve is acceptable for nineteen lands. I would run eighteen.

one thing that I would do is add more two-color lands. replace the plains and islands with some Shocklands from Ravnica or "Handlands" from SoI. You could still cut down to 18 lands safely, I think.

I agree the mana base is obviously iffy.
Nothing 4 flooded strands wouldn't fix.

Seachrome coast even works here because of the low cmcs.

Is Imposing Sovereign really important here? How about one of these instead:
Knight of White Orchid, True Believer/Aegis of the Gods, Dauntless Bodyguard or Meddling Mage
All are human with 2 power and 2 cmc. Then there's also Snapca$ter.
