I like the idea, and happened to be making a Paint-Grind deck at the time of finding this, so I kinda made a hybrid.

I'd like your ideas on it, if you'd be so kind. (I kinda got bored and listed out the first hand combos, as well. >.>)

Oh, and there's Channel... It can lower card dependency to 4/7 and not rely on Lion's Eye.

1st Hand Combos Are:

Charbelcher, Channel, Land Grant, Lotus Petal (4/7)
Charbelcher, Channel, Bayou, Elvish Spirit Guide (4/7)
Charbelcher, Channel, Land Grant, Elvish Spirit Guide (4/7)
Charbelcher, Channel, Bayou, Chrome Mox (Exiling Land Grant or Channel) (5/7)
Charbelcher, Channel, Land Grant, Chrome Mox (Exiling Land Grant or Channel) (5/7)
Painter's Servant, Grindstone, Channel, Bayou, Lotus Petal (5/7)
Painter's Servant, Grindstone, Channel, Land Grant, Lotus Petal (5/7)
Painter's Servant, Grindstone, Channel, Bayou, Elvish Spirit Guide (5/7)
Painter's Servant, Grindstone, Channel, Land Grant, Elvish Spirit Guide (5/7)
Painter's Servant, Grindstone, Channel, Elvish Spirit Guide, Elvish Spirit Guide (5/7)
Painter's Servant, Grindstone, Channel, Elvish Spirit Guide, Chrome Mox (Exiling Channel or Land Grant) (6/7)
Painter's Servant, Grindstone, Channel, Bayou, Chrome Mox (Exiling Channel or Land Grant) (6/7)
Painter's Servant, Grindstone, Channel, Land Grant, Chrome Mox (Exiling Channel or Land Grant) (6/7)

These last 4 are Dependant on Luck in the deck's placement of Bayou:
Charbelcher, Channel, Lotus Petal, Elvish Spirit Guide (4/7)
Charbelcher, Channel, Lotus Petal, Lotus Petal (4/7)
Charbelcher, Channel, Elvish Spirit Guide, Elvish Spirit Guide (4/7)
Charbelcher, Channel, Elvish Spirit Guide, Chrome Mox (Exiling Channel) (5/7)

Charbelcher, Lion's Eye, Lotus Petal, Elvish Spirit Guide, Dark Ritual (6/7) (Involves luck on Bayou's placement in library)

Obviously a few more combos that involve 7/7 hand size, so chances are somewhat unlikely.
Large dependency on Lion's Eye for the first turn.

I'd suggest Banefire over Obsidian Fireheart, IMO.

However, if you DO make all your basic lands Vivid lands, you'd theoretically start a turn behind. >.> Just sayin.

If you changed all your basic lands to Vivid lands, you'd eliminate the need for Journeyer's Kite. So that's 64.
If you take out Toshiro, and the Shizo, that's 62. And you basically could take out 2 Swamps to make it 60.
Maybe take out the 2 extra plains from the 4-limit on Vivid lands, and make them Ancient Ziggurats? IDK.

Suggestion: Vivid Lands (Vivid Grove, Vivid Creek, etc.).
Some of your Legendary Lands seem less effective than others (such as Shizo).
Toshiro also seems relatively not-as-useful. Just sayin.

I'd suggest some Terramorphic Expanses to both thin your library of Forests and to get an extra Landfall from Rampaging Baloth. And Wolfbrair Elemental doesn't quite seem to fit in this deck, but I can ~somewhat~ see it working. Also, Door of Destinies would seem to help you. Just sayin.

Also: Wouldn't a Curiosity-enchanted Thornwood Faeries/Suq'Ata Firewalker/Rootwater Hunter with the combo you mentioned also mean infinite draw power. Just sayin. >.>

Personally, I don't like Dormant Sliver either, because of Defender and Slivers are an aggressive-type. But that's just me. I'd put in a Gemhide over it, but it does give you draw power. However, its your choice.

Also, I'm not sure about this, but don't Hunter Sliver and Shifting Sliver counteract each other, if both are on the field?
And Urza's Incubator only affects: Dormant Sliver, Homing Sliver, Might Sliver, Toxin Sliver, Fungus Sliver, and Shifting Sliver, correct?
7 Targets, in a deck of 60 (Though Homing obviously increases the odds of you getting such cards)
I ~might~ take out Urza's Incubator for a Gemhide? IDK. Or just for giggles, add Door To Nothingness. >:D

Crystalline also cancels Overlord's second effect, meaning Amoeboid kinda loses meaning.

If you really wanted to, instead of basic lands, you could use Vivid lands (Vivid Grove, etc.). It'd obviously raise the deck cost, but it'd help in pulling out multicolored Slivers or help stop dead draws.

Suggestions to fill to 60:
Fyndhorn Elves - Who doesn't want 4 more Llanowar Elves? Lol
Afew more Forests (obviously) and a Gaea's Cradle.
Enshrined Memories for atleast some draw power.
Flourishing Defenses paired with Doubling Season for infinite elves (at that point Coat of Arms adds to the joy of having already won)
Emrakul, Aeons Torn - "Free" extra turn and destruction
Kozilek, Butcher of Truth - Draw power and destruction
It That Betrays - Joyously entertaining to use with the above two
Harbinger Elves as a searcher (if necessary)

Nothing else comes to mind. I base my research off my "Elves" deck using the same combo but I might edit it slightly since I've run into this >.>

Well thanks. xD
But I tend to think Shadows're a double edged sword. I'll probably put 2/3 on the side, but they can't block for you. Shifting Sliver, in my opinion, takes a stronger, obviously more positive effect than Shadows do.
