Hm, I drew some sample hands, and it looks like it could work! Pity it takes so long to set up, even with Dark Ritual or the likes. There's plenty of real aggro decks or even a little bit of removal or burn that render this deck useless or that win easily by turn 4 or 5 if you don't block, especially in Vintage.

It's a fun combo, but overpowered is not what I'd call it.

Exactly! If we all listened to people comments like that and didn't think for ourselves, we'd all have the same decks. I love making original decks myself, even if they're less efficient; as a side-note, évery deck in MTG can be made more efficient. It's also fun to play against people who see your first 2-3 cards and come up with a quick analysis of your deck, "Ah, must be this or that!", and then play stuff they totally don't expect. And kick their ass, or not, but still have loads of fun with your own designer deck :-)

Don't you think Battlefield Thaumaturge slows you down? It's ability doesn't work on Strive, from what I was told by a judge at the prerelease. Or it did, can't remember :p After googling it seems like it does work with strive... Odd...

I played against a very similar faerie deck a little while back, you bet it's aggravating :p At first you think, bah, faeries, meet my mono red creature heavy aggro deck. Then, faeries happen :p

I'm currently working on an Aztec deck, trying to be as historically correct as possible; although I'm tolerating more and more "fantasy"cards and art. For now I'm just collecting a database of potential cards I could add, after which I'll try and make a working deck (but not necessarily a winning deck. the Aztecs DID lose, anyway :p).

I like this a lot! A Griffin deck! They're pretty high CMC creatures but you managed to make a cool deck with them! If you're looking for another first strike griffin, there's still Razorfoot Griffin. Also, perhaps Urza's Incubator could help? I think it's 3 colorless to cast, and all creatures of the chosen type cost 2 less to cast.

Well, it's véry specific, and I've made it very hard by trying to make it historically accurate... but I think something can be done with all the cards MTG has to offer! Maybe it can be a joint effort since I'm so picky about the cards? :-)

Damn. Way better than my attempt at a Kraken deck :-) I'm gonna steal some idea's from here. Especially Retraction Helix, that's actually a pretty good card for this deck, since it works against enchantments and artifacts as well!

Remind me what Scylla and Charybis was all about again? My Greek mythology isn't what it used to be :-)
