Spiffing deck! Northern, I have a request! I've postponed it for a while but I'm stuck and it seems like a brilliant idea, but I definitely need some help.I'm building an Aztec deck, based on Aztec spiritualism, culture, warfare and technology; this means that I'm trying to avoid fantasy creatures like Nacatls or the likes. I've already made a small collection of cards that would fit (http://www.mtgvault.com/spiffmeister/decks/aztec-concept-deck/), and it seems like a U/W/G deck could work! With some sacrifice for power and use of Wheel of Sun and Moon to put the sacrificed cards back in the deck, there's also some room for a combo. The trap cards are brilliant as well, as are the Coatl's, although they're a bit "fantasy"-esque. My current concept is totally lacking any warrior-base or any wincon, though. I've got more details in the Concept deck, if you care tot take a look? What do you think, doable?

Hm, he can still be exiled and sacrificed easily enough. Sacrifice is hard to counter, but if he had protection from a color or hexproof, he'd be safe from exile. I'm a bit of a fan of Cho-Manno's Blessing for protection from color, but I'm sure there's plenty other options.
^^ This; Brainstorm is Legacy.
My U/G unblockable hyperspeed infect deck is vintage, but has some cool spells and cards. Blighted Agent e.g. is a must-have. Invigorate is as well, but not if you want to keep it modern. Apostle's Blessing is a sweet card too, good against burn/removal but also useful for a quick unblockable if you need it. Take a look if you want to.http://www.mtgvault.com/spiffmeister/decks/infast-2/
Bad Movie Buzzkill & Good Movie Inspirationist Extraordinaire, you mean :p
I have a couple of ideas. I'm not responsible if they are quite overfurnished in the farfetchedness department though :p
Muh, I'm a bit of a Zombie-freak, and Zombie Land isn't a Zombie movie, it's a roadtrip movie that happens to feature some Zombies. Bad ones. Even Swamp Zombies (which can hardly be called a "movie") and The Stink Of Flesh were better zombie movies than Zombie Land. And The Stink Of Flesh had purple zombies, one of which was systematically abused :pIf you want to see a really good recent zombie movie (the best ones were made 4 decades ago), check out Exit Humanity. It remains true to the zombie genre in all its aspects and uses an original setting (i.e. anything but teenagers in a mall).Spiffmeister: Topic Changer!
Zombie Land, brilliant :-) (well the movie was bad, but the name suits the deck :-) )
Awesomeness :-) I used to love making decks, but I was horrible at them :p I must say the MTG Vault community did help me out a lòt! Warlord's decks are always fun and inspiring to check out, mostly because they always seem "done". Sure, you can add some more expensive cards or splash some this or that here and there, but you don't hàve to! It's like a well-made cocktail. Sure, you can add a slice of lemon to that pint of Long Island Iced Tea, but you're still gonna get wasted without it! :-)
Around, I suppose :-) I just started playing again half a year ago after a hiatus of almost 15 years. Played from '96 till 2000-2002, I think. I'm just a casual player, roaming this site for ideas, fun and inspiration :-)
Then again, it's kind of in the nature of a MTG player to get the most out of a deck, concept or combo. It's hard to let that go. But very rewarding when you do and pack out with a deck like this :-)Also it's very fun to watch all these comments and the disbelief :-)
Interesting how people still want to add stuff to an ultraminimalistic deck that has one job and a one dollar budget and works :-)
That's just ridiculous....LY AWESOME!!! :D I'm making this and surprise my MTG group with it!
I thought you only needed 1, and that I found sources for that, but now, all official sources say you need a second Follower. Or a Fatestitcher, that'll work too. :-) Still an infinite combo though :-)
Hawt damn! I wish my first decks were this fun :-) It's a little chaotic, but that doesn't have to be a bad thing. All the creatures in there add to the deck, and the other spells as well. I'm just doubtful about Enlarge. I'm more a fan of Overwhelming Stampede myself. Same CMC, and with the number of creatures you'll have in play at turn 5 and their power and toughness (not to mention you can make one target creature even tougher with Bioshift before you cast Stampede, so the effect is even larger), you'll have one massive trample-force instead of 1 creature. That usually does the trick :p
Cool, I didn't know about Fatestitcher! I put him in my unfinite mana combo as a backup for Kiora's Follower :-)
"Yolo" is what is up, apparently.
Perhaps Kiora's Follower? Untap lands ànd creatures, a véry versatile card!
Fun infinite mana combo! Although technically it's restricted to colorless mana, but it'd run brilliantly with expensive artifact creatures indeed! You should add Mind Spring in there, for endless X cost, and draw as many cards as you want. I made an infinite mana combo with Kiora's Follower and Illusionist's Bracers, check it out if you want to!http://www.mtgvault.com/spiffmeister/decks/hardeen/
Thanks :) i've been playing multiplayer mostly lately as well. Its fun to have a mono red deck that isnt only using burn, they never know whats gonna hit them :) loads of fun!
