Wow, impressive that you won in a duel :-) But it seems like the deck worked like it should: extort to survive, then either win through survival or with a powerful spell :-) Awesomeness!

And 3 out of 5 isn't all that bad either :D Also, keep in mind that you might have won if they hàdn't scooped! i've learned that it's good to keep all of your opponents alive as long as possible is a boon for you: they're victims for extortion, and the life you gain from them is always more than the damage they can throw at you.

What type of vintage deck killed you, if I may ask?

Nah, I think I use 24 or 23 or something. You can do with a few less methinks :-)

Pretty nifty, especially since it's multiplayer! But... we're not quite talking the same budget ;-)

I prefer slower, more dragging-disease-y kind of decks to enrage my opposing force. Poisoning their lands and raising the cost of each spell is brilliant for that, just watch them eat away their own life whilst casting spells unsuccesfully. And my deck is 37 times as cheap as this deck, that's also pretty nifty :D

Zubera's kick ass! A friend of mine uses a killer Zubera deck. He sacs them with Goblin Bombardment :D

Groovy! If you like those types of decks, check out this baby:

As cheap as your deck, loads of consistency, and plenty fo aggravation for your opponent who poisons himself to death :D

Bloodhunter Bat and Splatter Thug, anything that has a chance of being blocked. I'd keep the deathtouches, they remain hand for blocking and threat. No? :-)

Really? But Tormented Soul and Lobber Crew are a guaranteed hit, whereas a deathtouch creature or an unleashed toughie can still be blocked. Keep in mind that your opponent knows you've got Rakdos standing in line to be summoned, and he doésn't want that to happen.

Funny, I made a Rakdos Commander deck a while back, exploiting his ability to summon humongous creatures with crazy abilities. It didn't take off the way I wanted it to, though, so I deleted it.

However, suggestions: Goblin Fireslinger, Tormented Soul, Razortip Whip, Lobber Crew, Vulshok Sorcerer and the likes are all great (ànd cheap) cards to get damage in on turn 4 and summon Rakdos. Then summon crazy-ass creatures like Myogin of Infinite Rage, Sheoldred Whispering One, Bearer of the Heavens and stuff like that :-) Loads of fun!

Hm, I like it, plenty of removal indeed... I go for pure aggression, no removal, in my minotaur deck. It works very nicely! Check it out if you want to:

Also, be my guest to browse my comments, you'll see that I advertise véry sparsely, especially compared to the contributions I make to decks and players. And if you still find my comment inapropriate, I'd prefer you give it a -1 rather than call me a fornicating whatever.

Groovy deck, love some of the hard hitters! :D I love decks that seem rather chilly billy at first, but have the tendency to explode and escalate quickly :-)

Yeah true... I'm a bit wary about enchantsments and instants though. Playtesting taught me this deck needs loads of creatures and the bare minimum of other spells (with Gnaw to the Bone as exception, that card saved my life plenty :D). It's crazy to be able to play 2 Ghoultree's in turn 3 or 4 with trample :D

I'm gonna add the Brawn's and see what happens then... And try and trade me some Dense Foliages.

Hiya! So glad you can appreciate this deck :-) It's a very original concept (mostly because of the mono greenness) that I haven't seen elsewhere yet, and véry fun to play! :D

Funnily, I had Nemesis of Mortals in before, but Ghoultree is far better. It's a bit more expensive (cash-wise), but in the best case scenario (which you'll get very often, this deck is very consistent) it only costs you 1 green mana, whereas Nemesis will always cost you 4 green mana at least.

I'm going to change one more thing soon, and that's adding 2 more Brawns, because the trample is just a necessity for this deck. A friend of mine also suggested Dense Foliage, to make àll creatures have shroud. It's a bloody good idea, because I don't target my own creatures (especially once I switch the Vipers for Brawns) or anyone elses, and it messes up other's gameplay :D You also have a chance of fetching it with Kruphix's Insight.

It's an expensive card, though, 2euro's here, and I think I'll stick to the budget version of this deck.

If you have ideas how to make this deck even better, let me know!

Cool, I also made a deck abusing Rakdos' abilities, but with no artifact creatures. It needs improvement, but actually runs pretty well! Check it out if you want to:

Raised by wolves seems a bit off here... It only combo's with Turntimber Ranger. I'd switch it with Doubling Season, it's wày better card (and a wincon in this deck) and absolutely brutal. Perhaps consider Door of Destinies as well?
Join The Ranks is a great card though, especially the instant speed is helpful!

Check out my Ally deck for ideas if you want to.

Sweet! Flamespeaker Adept is a great combo card! How about Sigiled Starfish? Also gives you a consistent scry for 2 CMC. Oh and Stymied Hopes perhaps as a counterspell & scry?
