Summer Bloom and Lifegift might work well here, I'm not sure.

I am an Airborne Aid fan as well :P

Would you consider throwing in a Kangee, Aerie Keeper or Seaside Haven too?

It's not a bad idea. I think the main consideration would be the speed of the deck; I think Darksteel Forge strategy would come to fruition a little slower. It's just weighing your options though I suppose.

I like it! You tossed in a little defense too, just in case they resist the wave of shadows.

Please Explain, I'm having trouble figuring it out.

I really like what you've done with an est. $32!

Maybe sideboard Whichbane Orb? I'm not sure (and it's up to you), but it would free up a spot some something else.

Just think, "If my opponent doesn't have any cards that target me, or at least nothing serious, what would I put in instead? And if they do, I'll just cycle my sideboard in."

Thank you Mr. Warlord! May you one day reach 1 million budget decks (I like your style).

Mortal Combat is the goal yes, but there is a secondary win condition. Immortal Servitude is in the deck simply to deal with my shuffle stonewalling me; it's a "just in case" card that can support dealing damage from creature death or Skullclamp/Altar.

Great point with Bloodartist! I'll likely end up using a combination of the two. I'm not sure yet.

Lastly, I'm foolishly banking on my opponent not putting Tormod's Crypt in their deck, but if they do, I will have to rely on my secondary win strategy.

I like the imput; it's good stuff! Esp. Genesis Chamber! It's funny how you can forget about cards, you know?

Thanks for the ideas, I'll work them in slowly

Incinerator is a pretty good idea! (sideboard for now)

I was originally considering Gempalm Polluter with Dralnu's Crusade, but I decided it took up too much space.

My mistake; maybe consider these:

Remand
Inaction Injunction
Call to Heel

You could go classic and add Brainstorm, its handy early on and doesn't change the win conditions.

I would drop Spreading Seas for another card.

I might throw Immortal Servitude in their reguardless of how the deck changes, that's just a funny moment I wouldn't want to miss!

Type your deck name...I edited the description :P

I know Mortal Combat can’t cause a win by the end of the first turn (but plausabily set up for turn two). The first turn chance at winning lies with Disciple of the Vault(s) working with Skullclamp – not likely, I know. Just throwing it out there :P

Thanks for reminding me about Ad Nauseam! I forgot that existed.

Yeah, it's almost not optional to not have goblin welder in that case. I just recomend Search for Survivors because it is cheap to aquire and test out. It's potentialy funny with Gamble as well.

If you decide to defect from modern, check out Search for Survivors, too.

Check out Liliana's Caress. You may want to swap it with Megrim or even just have more life loss enchantments.

Hope you like it, and I like the idea behind "this deck". Good luck!

I would consider dropping Priest of Urabrask for Phyrexian Walker (incase you need it earlier). I have a personal preference for Disrupt > Force Spike, but I'm not sure how you feel about it.
