I'd swap shock with terminate, it would be more effective creature removal overall.

You might get some good mileage from Rancor. Also, these aren't as easy on mana, but might fit into your build: Ancestral Mask Rabid Wombat If you like those, they could go well with: Briar Shield Seal of Strength Rancor (as above :P) Maybe some defence via Crawlspace or Meekstone + some vigilance. Creature ideas: Mystic Penitent Skyshroud Falcon Albino Troll Tempting Wurm (if you dare) Jungle Lion Mtenda Lion Tethered Griffin Savannah Lions
I'm thinking I should drop Cabal Ritual; I'm not sure if I would get the extra mana from having threshold by the time I dragonstorm. I think -2 on those would free up space from a Dark Ritual and Seething Song. Also, I'm trying to be realistic with card costs on this one (no Badlands lol).
I think I met you about half way (added terminate instead). I think I could (we could?) improve it some more, but I need to reflect on it, do some practice hands, etc.
