Yes, yes it is =P It cleans house in multiplayer too. Hydra Omnivore + Garruk's ultimate = Lot's of dead opponents.
I love how the Omnivore only costs 6. I'd say Hydras are later game stompers, wouldn't you agree? Check out my Juggernaut Tribal.
Eh, they can be made to offer a lot of threats early game, which is what I mostly tried to do here. But yeah, Hydras are sort of Green's way of saying "Let's get this over with" =P I'll be sure to check out the tribal, it's one of the one's on our list!

Have you considered the potential madness of using overwhelming stampede on a field of even two hydra/hydras/hibiscii? It'd be funny in multiplayer at least

Man haven't you ever seen the A-Team? Overkill is underrated! That was one of my favourite shows as a kid, and I for one was quite pleased with the movie, unlike Mr. T.

Great deck, throne of geth maybe on the sideboard ! Especially if you use lure to force everything to something else.
maybe its just me in my tired state, but there are no artifacts besides automaton.... so why throne?
Try hooking up Primordial hydra with some swords or hexproof.

Predatory Urge is nasty here, especially with Protean Hydra.
Also, Sprouting Phytohydra is, imo, the truest Hydra ever printed--chop one down, and with two doubling season out, three spring back up. :-)

Hydras are freakin awesome. I like how the newer sets are throwing in some fantastic cards to previously under-appreciated: ex. hydras ( primordial hydra, khalni hydra) and phoenix ( chandra's phoenix, kuldotha phoenix). This deck is awesome, the only question I have is; is the adaptive automaton worth it? Also if someone would check out my rise from the ashes and hydra decks that would be cool.
Yeah, Automaton helps a ton with survivability in the earlier stages for guys like Primordial and Protean...Very worth it.

Yet another awesome tribal deck not many think of, surewhynot. I don't know whether to like the deck because its so good, or hate it because of how incredibly nasty the whole deal is. Have you tried using Mimic vat with the hydra omivore or the khalni hydra? I mean, some of these things are bound to die over the course of a match, why not use that to your advantage?
This thing is nasty... haha "Go for the Throats" would be better suited.
yep i agree nice deck, ny hydra - matic deck looks a bit similar but i dont have all the cards i need the birds of paradise would definaely be a good addition for mine thanks
