Shame on you if you haven't played the game yet.

<_< anyway, Infernal Kirin EDH...made me think of this...

Deck is designed to destroy an opponent's card advantage, and beat them senseless while they have little to no responses.

How to Play

Play constant hand disruption backed up by hand-nuking triggers with Spirit/Arcane spells and the Kirin. Use the downtime when your opponent has little to no hand (thus ways to respond) to play and/or swing with creatures. You should also be sure to lay down some of the utility cards to turn that hand disruption into bona-fide damage. Then it all comes down to alternating between nuking the opponent's hand and keeping up the pressure with creatures and other spells.

Deck discussion for Robot Unicorn Attack!

BEST. GAME. EVER.
btw, i found a glitch in the game (or atleast on the ipod-touich version): if you do a double jump, then dash, then jump, then dash & jump again off of the the end of the platform you start on, holding jump untill you get to climax every time, sometimes you'll get on top of the map. the platforms are REALLY far away from eachother, but you can stay up there for like 10,000 points.
yes, i do have a little too much spare time.

Can you take a look at this deck? I'm trying to compile a list of the best cards for EDH, and I was wondering if you'd have anything to add:

infernal kirin is more like the robot unicorn attack heavy metal edition than the regular. the regular would be more like celestial kirin. :)

Lovin the double Raven's Crime man. I always play 5 Storm Crows in regular constructed. (Just pointing it out.)

Take a look at my most recent update to this: http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=310844
Needs cuts, but only 6. I change up the cards when I get bored of a certain "combo".

Doran/Karador and Momir. They've both turned into combo decks that play every card in the deck. how is this possible? Two decks, different combos, same outcome. :(

Love RUA! Highest score thus far on the heavy metal version is 84k! However, I tend to only get up in the 60k range on normal version. :(

"I challenge thee! Do not cross the bridge alone!"

Anyways. Pretty sweet looking deck man. Unfortunately I missed out on Kamigawa deck due to being stuck in Iraq for most of it, so I don't have much input that would fit in with the block's theme. Maybe just throw in a Jitte since its pimp and would fit with all the other sweet Kamigawa cards?

I dunno about you, but I prefer to play the regular version of RUA, mute the music, and play something like Don't Look Back by Messendger. Rock of Ages - Def Leppard, Pig's Walk - Toad, Rage of Angels- Orange Goblin, or Walk in the Shadows - Queensryche are all good choices as well.

Also, I'm back! Again! I've got a while before spring break, but I have a lot of free time again since the teacher let me just do my work and be done with it.
I'm planning on looking at Loam and Doomsday decks again, but this time I'm planning on writing about them as well, and if you wouldn't mind, if I make something I think decent I'd like to run it by you.

0

By all means run it by me dude! And welcome the F**K back!

As for playing other songs during it...Not really. "Always" is just part of the whole package man =P

In other slightly related news, I'll hopefully have another Kirin EDH posted up soon enough. See...I won a bet against Arty...and I got his Celestial Kirin EDH!

http://www.myfacewhen.com/329/

All thanks to my dislike of Duke Basketball =P

I don't always gamble(except when I have money to burn), but when I do, I bet against Duke. I pay March Madness very little heed, but it has long since been a thing with me to bet against Duke.
My first time at playing the odds over a sports event was a Duke loss, and the luck holds solid for me when I bet. :D

And I can dig it about RUA. I'm just a sucker for certain tunes, and do more than I probably should with them as my backing...

I'm planning on starting on working on my XX-Lands list again, and then an experiment with Dirty Loam. I've been planning on trying my hand at writing for a while, but never had the time, so being able to do this should be rather enjoyable.

0
Posted 19 March 2012 at 16:52

Yeah, it really stems from the fact that I've had 3 friends go to Duke over the years, and they all came back from there as complete asshats =/

Now I just need to fine-tune his deck to be how I want it...and then the shenanigans can begin (because if there's one word that describes Celestial Kirin, it's shenanigans)

wow... a black discard edh deck... i love it! just wondering though, why the snow-covered swamps?

scrying sheets, the same fundemental is used in snow white decks like this http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=293851

also im looking for somone to take a look at my newest deck it has an intersting combo...http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=311893

0

Exactly. At first I just liked the art, but then add the fact that in some rules shenanigans, snow swamps can be juuuuuust different enough from normal swamps that I get the advantage...and more notably the ability to abuse scrying sheets, and there ya have it =]

I saw Chains of Mephistopheles and instantly laughed my ass off.

Sense. This card makes none.

2
Posted 20 March 2012 at 13:00

It does have one of the most convoluted descriptions in the game, but here's what it does:

If, on a player's draw step, that player draws at least one more card than normal (I.e., a second card) he must discard a card from his hand or mill himself by one card. If he refuses to mill himself and instead discards, he is forced to draw another card, which repeats the process. It's a powerful failsafe for a discard deck, as it makes sure that a player can't simply counteract the discarding my excessive card drawing.

0
Posted 21 March 2012 at 01:43

It actually only excludes the first drawn card that was drawn IN the draw step (maybe even in the turn, I forget which first drawn card it doesn't affect), so any additional draws in the whole turn will be replaced with Chains effect(s). It's a confusing card.

0
Posted 21 March 2012 at 02:22

Nah, it's not confusing, just written poorly.

0
Posted 21 March 2012 at 04:29

But yes, if a card is drawn at any time during/after the drawstep beyond the regular amount (usually, if not always 1) then the effect is active until the end of the turn, and then only re-activates if the same conditions are met in the next turn, so on and so forth =]

I LOVE Chains of Mephistopheles(I reread the Tragedy of Doctor Faustus every year), and in Dark Fish it can get amusingly brutal.

An interesting in EDH with that card, Underworld Dreams, and Megrim occurred. I felt violated just watching it unfold into so much hatred as one of the other people played Blue Sun's Zenith on the guy running Maga. It made me think about updating my Zur deck, but even I'm not that guy

This is cool. Some of the spirit/arcane stuff is pretty weak but that guy is awesome.

I have a challenge for you SWN:
please make an B/R extraction/burn deck with past in flames. No blue, no isochron scepter. I want to buy a variety of it and I'm sure you could make a pretty absurd version.

0
Posted 21 March 2012 at 01:46

Hrm...Well it would be a strange hybrid for sure. Most likely it would end up like a classic Black Burn (as in, burn with an aspect of discard to both damage and even out the card [dis]advantage) with the 'playset rippers', as I call them, S.E. and Extirpate. P.I.F. is a costly card, and I kind of feel like it would be overkill, but I can try to see if there's a way to work it in.

Heya, Im pretty new to Magic but when my friends wanted to play EDH version I wanted to do a cool black deck. I like your snow covered lands trick with the scrying sheets and I definitely was confused trying to read the Chains of M card lol. Would those Snow covered lands have any benefits besides that one card? What exactly do you use the Undiscovered Paradise for? Do you have trouble keeping your Planeswalker alive? From what I have played they go straight for Planeswalkers lol. I chose a different General since I am trying to swing 3 times and win ,but haven't completed the deck and play tested yet. Let me know what you think.

Question, with chains of mephitis or however you spell it (typing on iPad) and also Necropotence out, how do you deal with that? Would you discard the bad cards in your hand, or jus make sure you don't cast both when playing?

0

Ah, but see that's the brilliance of Necropotence. You don't actually DRAW cards with it, you put them into your hand =]
