Deck discussion for Torpor Orb

If you're not on a budget, Phyrexian Dreadnought is the best creature for this deck.
Check out what I did long ago with this kind of concept:

im sorry to say that torpor orb wont work for myr superion. his effect isn't an ability.

as you are playing a combo deck that needs artifacts, it is absolutely essential that you run 4 fabricates. that will speed this deck up tremendously, as it can fetch any part of the combo.

phyrexian dreadnought is a must in here as well.

I would consider running 4 stifles, as they do the same thing as the orb and can also be used to mess up the opponent.

heartless summoning isn't good enough to deserve a spot in here. you don't need your 1-4 drops to cost 0-2. the whole point of the deck is to play fast creatures, and they work that way anyway as long as you have the orb out or stifle.

remand isn't the best choice for a counter, as the opponent can just play it again if he has enough mana. if its countering a counterspell or whatever, if they have 2 more mana, you will still get countered as they can replay it as soon as remand exists the stack.

THIS IS A MODERN DECK!
Everything you suggested (except fabricate which is too slow for this deck) is only playable in Legacy.
And you play Myr Superion with the Heartless Summoning. Whether that will ever actually happen with only 2 is a different matter.
Remand is basically a Timewalk in Modern so please do continue to play them.

if he wants to play it modern, that's fine. it could be legacy pretty easily too.

fabricate is only too slow if you have a torpor orb and a heartless summoning already, which is incredibly unlikely. otherwise, you need more mana and as there is no way but lands in here, so in fact, fabricate is exactly what you need.

myr superion (2) and heartless summoning (3). chances of that coming together without any search or fast draw are pretty slim. not worth running.

using remand as a timwalk is fine and dandy and all, but if he is trying to use it to protect the orb or creatures that will be sided in with haste, he would be better with a counterspell. especially when they see remand early in the first game. if they don't see it early, then its not as effective, so the difference is negligible on its worth

Yeah it's Modern but the Superion is not the main focus its just something I would enjoy to drop on someone for free on turn 2. Doesn't have to happen all the time for the deck to be successful. What I was aiming for was Leveler + Laboratory Maniac and then Gitaxian Probe or Thirst for Knowledge for an instant win off the card draw. I may want to put a different counter than Remand for protecting the Lab maniac hitting the board (since countering their counter would make me draw too early and I would lose) but maybe I could play the Maniac first (since not many people would counter him without a win-con on board already) and then play Leveler, use the Probe or the Thirst and Remand to counter their reaction. It's a pretty neat deck and it surprises people a lot haha. Thanks for your input though I really appreciate it.

Razka, I agree it would be powerful but that would push this deck into the Legacy list rather than Modern.
That being said this deck looks really well done but I fell like 24 lands is too many for this deck's curve, 20-22 would be a better number I think. Shimmer Myr is a great addition I hadn't considered (referring to Heartless Summoning).
I can't really think of any way to make this better without being really conditional.
Again, Well done!

Thank you! I really like it. As to your land comment I may change it up a bit and use some Mox Opals and other artifact ramp and drop the lands down, but so far I haven't seen that be too much of a problem. :)

Well this deck got seriously changed, but with heartless summoning he costs 0 mana so I can play him for free.
