Deck discussion for Mono-Black-Rogues

Nice, I really like this :) I may build a real deck based on this :p

Got a question though. I believe it won't, but I just want to be sure. The Banneret doesn't affect Adaptive's cost, does it?

Unfortuneatly not, since the Banneret first went on the stack, it's impossible reduce it's mana cost that way.

It's not impossible or unfortunate, but AA is never a Goblin or Rogue when it's in your hand.

You can use Bitterblossom in Legacy. (this deck is legacy)

Ja, Cover of Darkness and Hymn to Tourach aren't Modern legal. Anything printed before 8th Edition isn't Modern legal :(

These are both good points. If I actually built this, I would do Legacy (I still haven't really been sold on Modern, but mostly because no one in my play circle has really gotten into it). I caught the Jitte and Bitterblossom when I put them in, but not these two. Soooo.....yeah. :-)

Ja, Modern's a bit weird, but after the shifts on how far back the types of tournaments go (standard = last 2 years, etc), but our group tried it as a break form our cycle of standard one week, legacy next and found it good for a break. So suggest it as a break from the norm.

That legacy build you're thinking of could cause quite a stir :p though I'd never build it as I can't afford Jittes over and above my normal Magic expenses.

Went ahead and updated it to Legacy, then. :-D As for the Jittes, I've picked up three heavily played ones at $10, $12, and $13 over the past few years.
