Do ever get the point where you are struggling for mana when you play your deck? I see most of your cards as one or two mana cost.. do you think Terramorphic Expanse and Jwar Isle Refuge are advantageous in your deck? I found getting rid of the mana that come into the battlefield tapped just slows your deck that much, especially if you are going for a fast deck.

I like the Distortion Strike ideal you recommended on my deck though. I'm gonna have to think how I could incorporate another blue card in my deck.. Thanks.

The only way I can see proliferate being great if MtG released cards that could boost proliferate in the counters of two or even three. Imagine proliferate on planeswalkers then... Nissa Revane would rise a little more than being the worse planeswalker of them all.

Oh no worries.. .when I first started off with Infect decks, I thought proliferate was a waste of time too... I still believe Contagion Engine and Clasp are a waste of time and Thrumming Birds for that matter. The proliferate cards I have now, Steady Progress is great to draw card while causing a poison counter. Casting 3 Steady Progress cards is like drawing three cards while doing 3 poison counters... 3/10.. that's 30% closer to winning the game.

Yes Yes.. proliferate is not strong now, but I can't tell you how many times I have played with an Infect deck only. I've played it to where, if your opponent can hold you off from making kills by Turn 6, you lose your fast striking edge. It builds enough mana for the other opponent to actually cast 5 or 6 mana spells and creatures. Imagine against a burn deck... your opponent could easily Galvanic blast or lightning bolt your army away... A splash of proliferate is just what infect needs to get those few extra poison counters, until (1) you get the cards your need or (2) kill your opponent when his army gets too strong.

Whoa. your creature list is almost like mine.. except for the blight dragon. I dropped the dragon, realizing that for the same mana cost, i could have a flying Putrefax.

You should drop the tainted strike. It's a great card if you had non infect creatures. Otherwise, if you want a boost of power (and black), go with vampire's bite or even virulent strike. In the green deck, you have Giant Growth, Vines of Vastwood, Groundswell, or even Prey Vengence.

Rush? No. This deck would take awhile time to win the game. If you want speed, take a look at my deck for example. If you had the perfect hand, you could have a 8/8 Plague Stinger, ready to attack at the Turn 3.

Turn 1: Green mana, Cast Birds of Paradise
Turn 2: Black mana, Cast Plague Stinger
Turn 3: Green mana, Attack with Plague Stinger, tap 1 green for Giant Growth, tap 2 green mana for Vines of Vastwood...making a 8/8 Plague Stinger with protection of spells and abilities your opponent control this turn (i.e. no Dispensing Justice, no firebolts,). Pretty cool, huh?

Actually I used to have Groundswell in the deck, but I traded it for the Vines of Vastwood. The protection from Vines is great against Lightning Bolts and other burn cards. And if I ever want to add 4/4 for another green mana, it would make it that much better.

Good catch. I figured terramorphic was a good way to get green mana... i only need just a couple to get my combos on.. but the verdant catacombs would be better. after all, i'm going for infect so ten poison counters, i win.. forget life points.

thanks

Your deck looks good, but lacks in the few areas.. you should consider adding a splash of blue cards to deck. you have some great creatures lined up, but if your opponent either has alot of creatures or control in the deck, you are screwed. Plus Mimic Vat and Livelash are slow tempo. With infect, I think you should sneaky and fast.... i. e. Ichor Rat attacks... oh wait, no blockers... okay, i cast 2 Giant Growth.. bamm... 8 infects points,

I may be bias and think my deck is the best, but grab some ideas from it. I made a fast black, blue, green infect/ proliferate deck. I had the Blight Dragon too, but realized for the same price you could make the Putrefax a flying creature, or just for one mana you could make any creature flying (Flight Spellbomb).

Whoa.. I tried to make a deck like this a few weeks ago. It's almost the same except I had Nissa Revane and the Nissa's Chosen. It's was a great combo, but I always failed against control decks.

Unless you can find a way to boosts Nissa Revane loyality counters up fast, she would be a great asset to the Elf Deck. ( -7; Search your library for any number of Elf creature cards and put them onto the battlefield. Then shuffle your library ) You would literately control the game.

May I suggest getting rid of the Contagion Clasp. It just takes too much to Proliferate. You could though add 4x Flight Spellbombs to your deck. This would grant flying to your ground creatures. Also, have you considered putting any Ichor Rats in the deck?

Check out my Black, Blue, Green Infect/Proliferate Deck. It runs at pretty fast tempo.

I think you have enough creatures, but it's just hard to make a great infect deck with mono black. I tried once, got my butt beat... I tried to make a mono green infect deck. I got knocked down. THEN, I came up with a good fast Black, Green, Blue Infect/ Proliferate Deck. Check it out.

A good suggestion for you deck, would be having 4x Creeping Tar Pits and 4x Tainted Strikes. Imagine the possibility.

I like the Vampire's Bite ideal. It does more damage than Virulent Swipe would. I don't know about the Thrumming Birds though. I tried to have them in my deck, but most of my opponents were killing them off.

I'd switch out the Verdant Catacombs with Terramorphic Expanse. You wouldn't have to sacrifice life and it does the same thing.
