I think you can run it, I personally haven't had a need for it though. I did just correct the land content though.

Get rid of the white splash, souls isn't worth it here. Go with a few more creatures and force your opponent into blocking you or take greater damage.

I like the idea, i haven't personally seen alot of Elephant themed decks so its a nice refresher. I'm not entirely sure what Paradox Haze is there for. And i am biased against Enchant Creatures, i'd probably use Overrun in its place if it were me.

No i just generalize the term, but good job picking that up on me.

This "desk" is also pretty easy on the wallet if you take out the Breeding Pools and Sunpetal Groves, just a bit slower.

My inner grammar Nazi couldn't contain itself. :P

I like the idea, though i don't really see any way to accelerate getting the prophet into play. Perhaps just a tad more card draw would help. You must have alot of money on hand btw :P

Also this deck isn't infinite.

You do realize that the shrine requires black spells right?

So round it up to a full point and game over then.

No, Quietus takes effect after combat damage. http://gatherer.wizards.com/pages/Card/Details.aspx?multiverseid=185774

My question is does Quietus spike cause you to have 1/2 Life, or does it stop working.

Even so, it doesn't really belong in a burn deck. This kind of deck should be able to do direct damage every turn. That's the key. What that means is that you burn though your hand faster, and this card wastes a potential burn card draw and slows you down an entire turn.

What happens in the situation that you are reduced to 1 life before the spike takes affect? I don't see this mentioned in the rulings.

That is a good point, it kind of serves the purpose that fling does in my deck.

It's alright for your first deck, good job. You'll win some and lose some with it.

My buddy nearly beat my 'old' elemental deck with a deck that used exalted. Having play against his deck, with features a nice amount of white utility as a mono white deck i have to say i don't like the black here. I think this deck wastes alot of potential just to get a secondary win condition in Essence Harvest.

Wall of Denial is a pretty strong wall, but the Wall of Omen could be replaced for more mill or a stronger blocker.

In my experience burn decks with creatures in them tend to slow down too early, if you really need creatures there are lands that can become creatures as well as some that produce them such as Gnitu Encampment. My burn deck uses these types of lands.

Edit: You also need to remove the Faerie Macabre, there are no sources of black mana in your deck.
