After Final Fortune resolves, you get a triggered state-based loss when the second turn ends. Sundial doesn't change this, it actually triggers it.

You have Sundial of the Infinite in play, you cast Final Fortune. When Final Fortune resolves, you get an extra turn after this one. You end your turn and start a second one. After you do whatever it is you are going to do on the second turn, you tap your sundial. Sundial's triggered ability resolves and the turn ends. After the turn ends, Final Fortune's second effect triggers, and you lose the game.

The only way I have ever seen someone escape the state-based loss is with Platinum Angel.

I don't understand how this would work. As soon as you end your turn, you lose the game.

BTW, I nearly beat up last friday for playing http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=215745 in a vintage tourney.

I went 2-2 in 4 rounds.

Gitaxian Probe is one I like because I can not only draw a card for 1 mana, but I can see my opponent's cards. Its worth it to me with this deck to see what potential defense my opponent has before I attack with Blighted or Ichorclaw. Having a "Millenium Eye" of sorts is a great help.

Thanks. I playtested it last night and I came up with some even more nasty ideas. Overall, this deck when done right is a turn 3/4/5 infect win. I may end up swaping out the virulent wounds from my side deck for plague stingers. We shall see.

Blighted Agent + Dark Favor = 4/2 unblockable infect. Plenty of counter spells to prevent my opponents from killing it off.

Ichorclaw Myr = Blockers bait. When my opponent declares blockers, Ichorclaw Myr gets +2/+2. I then Unsummon or Doom Blade the blocker(s) and hit for at least 3 direct infect damage. Throw in Dark Favor for even more infectious fun.

And toss in a well-timed Mutagenic Growth to finish them off.

Considering this deck is all commons, as required by the format, I think it works nicely.

Any comments?

You need Darksteel Plate for your stuffy doll.

I can usually get Primeval out in turn 4, so its not really that necessary.

Thanks. I changed it up a bit, and now it ramps pretty fast. I'm not worried much about counters, even though the deck has no defense against them. When I played this last week in tourney, my opponents rarely had the chance to cast counterspells before i wiped their life clean.

Rampant is cheaper than cultivate and Harrow allows me to use the new lands immediately, or to trigger Valakut with more force. Its all about feeding the Volcano.
