Deck Description

Seventh of my casual decks. I'm posting them as they exist in their current form. All are, for the most part, inter-competitive, fun, and thematic.
I'm open to all suggestions. I don't care about legality, but themes are extremely important.

With that being said, the only theme here is black aggro. Even I can be highly unoriginal at times. I'm looking at turning this deck into a Pox deck (bigpox, not smallpox) but that might require me to drop my favorite card from this deck, the Faceless Butchers.

SB are cards that I'd like to add someday. Thoughtseize + Dark Confidant, I'm waiting for Modern Masters (hopefully price will drop a bit), and I'm waiting for a functional reprint of Nantuko Shade, because the current one creeps me out like you wouldn't believe.

How to Play

There are few to no tricks for this deck. Closest it gets is using a Butcher to hide one of your own creatures before a massacre, but even an ambitious blind moose could figure that one out.

Deck discussion for B Boring Black Aggro

Consuming Vapors is amazing. I'd replace Order of the Ebon hand with either Black Knight or Knight of Infamy. Also, why use Vampiric Link when you can toss a Basilisk Collar in there instead? I'd also recommend Gatekeeper of Malakir over Faceless Butcher.

Good points.
Maybe I can justify my current selection a bit:

The order is in there because they can be pumped. With Surprise ramp from dark rits, and the Coffers, they can get huge and frequently swing for the win.

The butchers are my only RFG targeted removal, and double as protection. While I like the Gatekeepers, they don't target, which helps in some circumstances, but is also a problem in others. I'll SB them.

The Vampiric Link doubles as soft removal if I really need it. I can cast it on one of their creatures to effectively prevent damage from it when it swings. It is really only to prevent me from necropotence-ing myself to death if poo hits the fan.

I like Consuming Vapors though. Maybe as a 2x, certainly not a 4x.
