LoL, pay no attention to the pricing ... they seem to think Champion of the Parish and Clifftop Retreats go for $100 ea.

How can you have a flicker deck without Ghostly Flicker? I did a standard lifegain flicker deck http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=355789 ... control is key, and also have a way to get your graveyard back (angel of glory's rise or elixir of immortality). Flicker decks tend to go a lot longer, so having endgame cards like Thragtusk or even Avacyn, angel of hope are uber important. Another great creature addition is Emancipation Angel. It's a slower cloudshift, but with flying :)

I'm inspired. New to playing, but this has to be one of the most well constructed decks (including the sideboard choices) I've seen. You should track it's record in RL. Crap, now I need to go spend more $ ;)

The goal was cheap, not commons. That was my bad in phrasing. The goal is to play and not get stomped without breaking the bank, because my first attempts at buying specific cards was without the information needed. So now I have some AWESOME cards that can't be used in standard. This website, particularly for feedback like yours, is why I keep coming back and trying again. I'll be poking around your budget decks this weekend ... ever looking for new inspiration ;)

Awesome feedback. As a new player, I didn't know the distinction between pauper and budget. I just thought that pauper meant "Not breaking the bank". I always have a hard time with mana curve, because I don't know how to try and tee off on one particular game changing card. I'm getting a few more cards, so once I know what I'm working with, I'll be posting a few more mono-white concepts. Thanks for being kind to a noob :)

While I'm brand new to MTG, and I'm a mono-white currently, I can say beyond the shadow of a doubt that I'd never want to have to face this deck. I mean my lifegain deck rocks (http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=348428), but I still don't think I'd be able to say ahead of the curve on this one. I'd have to get a lucky Felidar Sovereign draw at just the right time. Nice build!

I really appreciate the tips. I don't have the card vocabulary, so I'm mainly just working on theory. The specific card tips (adds and drops) help so that I can focus in and just pick up specific cards for play. The quantities represented are all I have currently, so I should be able to augment and add more in the next week. Also, Felidar Sovereign and Boon Reflection are both sexy. Gotta go find em on Eeeeeeeeeee-bay.
