Sounds like there may be a need for Norin in here.

I see this as more of a turn 3-4 aggro...but in the long game...very true.

I would make it legal by only having 4 copies of a card in the deck. Then get rid of a couple akroma's (as you dont want to draw until late game and only one is necessary to have out. Then with all the life gain...you could put it to use with ajani's pridemate as your early drop creature (I would add 4 of him). That should get you started.

I would remove 2 laboratory manics and 2 spellbooks and add 2 psychosis crawlers and some other drawing cards.

i would drop down to 1 eldrazi and 1 mantle (as you dont want to hold them in your hand the whole game until it is time to win) and replace them with enlightened Tutors (again...not sure of your budget). That way you can use the tutors to call out whatever you need at the right time (including the mantle or eldrazi).

Or drop 1 flickering ward and 1 blind obediance as these really only work one time.

BONUS>>>Still Old Lady theme

Because you do have a lot of fatties in the deck...and if you cannot get the quest to go off in sufficient time, a good creature to have out is Volrath's Shapeshifter. He allows you to dump out a fatty that is just sitting in your hand and essentially becomes that on the battlefield. Nothing like a turn 4 inkwell or Stormtide out!

OR...end of their turn discard braids...during your turn drop a fatty and discard another fatty to volrath declining them of use of braids on their turn

I actually made a similar type deck where i discarded a deep sea kraken...attacked unblocked and then discarded phage the untouchable to win it.

Earthquake/Hurricane type sorceries give you life for each person hit as well.

Blasphemous Act is pretty fun too.

I would replace Kazandu with Mother of Runes. I know it sounds like a joke about the 'old ladies'...But Mother of Runes would ensure some major protection on the Equipped Kor

Kor Spirit Dancer as a (somewhat) cheap creature might work a little better. Not sure your budget.

To stick to a funny theme...Maybe add in Mother of Runes and run it as a 'Old Lady' Deck (Kor Spirit Dancer, Academy Rector and Mother of Runes as your creatures.

Phyrexian Reclamation is nice to return korlash instead of disentomb (its repeatable)

Lashwrithe is better than nightmare lash IMO...it counts as another creature in your deck.

not the main idea, or win con of this deck (more of a just in case)... as this deck is meant to control the board and hands and provide a nice beatdown...but maybe i should actually build a deck around that idea of mill by draw and maniac to win it.

thanks for your thoughts.

actually just did it on mtgo 2 headed giant. Completley destroyed the hands of both opponents...drawing 14 cards a turn. BUT didnt have laboratory maniac in deck...so milled myself :P. Thought i would add him in.

With whispering madness out and notion thief to steal all their draws, it is just another viable win con. basically milling with draws and leaves their hands completely empty the rest of the game.

Sounds like you may want to make some room for Bazaar Traders...give your self control of the "stolen creature" before end of turn...

Maybe remove a couple hover barriers and move glaring spotlight to sideboard

you could just go with something like 'echoing truth'...gets you alot more bang for your buck in removal...and it pitches to FoW.
