What i usually do is play a lot of Draft and Sealed and then trade it for older cards as allmost anything drops in value like a rock the second it goes out of standard. I once traded 2 insistrad cards for 22 other cards. all rare or mythic.

It's just suggestions for a way to bring your deck. I in no way expect you to "do my bidding" except for ramp. you NEED something to at least put lands in your hand with your heavy curve. also northernwarlord makes a lot of budget decks that are great to draw inspiration from. you might wanna take a look. the man's a genious in his own way.

I see so many potential improvments here, but not quite knowing your playstyle i'll just name a few cards and give you a link to some more you may considder, the most important though is DEFINENTLY to get some ramp into your deck. Ordeal of Nylea should fit nicely

Exava, Rakdos Blood Witch, more than a decent card on its own and also allows all your creatures with +1 counters to gain haste. for free.

Domri Rade, lets you draw more cards as long as they are creatures and enables your creatures to fight other creatures outside combat.

Varolz, the Scar-Striped, lets you get something out of your dead creatures and can trick by chump blocking with another creature then sacing to regen.

Rakdos' Return, finisher that also empties your opponents hand or simply mid game to make sure he can't play more spells the comming turns.

Ruric Thar, the Unbowed, sideboard due to heavy mana cost but will take down virtually ANY flier and will usually cost an opponent, mana, 1 or 2 cards and at least 6 life to kill. if they want to burn him out, that's 12 life.

Burning-Tree Emissary, stricktly for developing an early board state but also a very economic card as it allows you to cast two 2drops on turn 2 instead of one.

Rubblebelt Raiders, a 3\3 for 4 is not that impressive but given that it attacks as minimum a 4\4 the first time and a 6\6 the next turn it should manage to become quite the bomb if they don't deal with it quickly. also the hybrid mana cost can be a huge advantage

just take a look at the cycles. there might be something there for you although i think i named most of them.

Still, I'd personally have made it Orzhova if you were basing it around her but this deck seems more than decent too.

to zach: the reason i'd run mantra is that it's not a creature. it doesn't die to boardwipes so people have to side in their enchantment removal (which would also kill ram), forcing them to get rid of things they actually want to play to make THEIR deck work optimally.

Hi, Northern. It's been a while but I see a few things, if you take out archangle of thune you will cut the cost of the deck in half. litterally. Also Ajani's Mantra may really be a good choise here. Hope it helps.

You can make the same combo in standard without sacreficing the ability to just win by beatdown.
if you make a deck that's illeagal in every single format and ask for a single card to make you win, you truly can't play magic. That said, throw in Whispersilk Cloak.

And why are you playing only 1 version of Ajani? Ajani, Caller of The Pride is a win condition in himself and it combos with your current infinite turns by being able to grow larger while getting more loyalty, also swinging with flying doubble strike tends to win games fast, topping off with oly being 3 mana? pretty damn insane as aggression goes and works well late too.

If you really want to go for the combo? Put in isachron Sceptre and imprint either fog or Silence.

If you want alternative win conditions why not throw in a spell or two that gives a poison counter then throw in something that lets you proliferate each turn (like thrumingbird but an artifact or enchantment instead. Creatures are more likley to be removed)

Also you have litterally nothing to fetch lands with so why are you playing more shocklands? You really should play Checking Tapplands (like Sunpetal Grove) and or Fast Lands (like Seachrome Coast).

Now feel free to rage all all you want for me not buttering up to this deck, but you frankly need to do better. Here's a path you can take that goes the right direction.

I have to ask, why Isochron Scepter and why in sideboard? Also very nice deck:) Maybe more fetchlands though?

Edit: Also, one look at this made me follow your user:)

Don't worry. Everyone always mentions them. Usually before they even look at the synergy. Personally I'm not a fan of fanatic and would throw in more ramp or stall instead but this deck is good. If you need more stall or tempo recommend ground assault, assault strobe, fog bank or rancor. Still a good deck as-is though.

Instantly liked and copied. I would cut down on wolfpack though because of the high cost. Maybe beacon of creation, rancor or dungrove elder.

Can I recommend Vorel of The Hull Clade just to make those hydras bigger a lot quicker? Solid deck though. +1.

The card is good by itself but if you want a strong deck, don't take advise that comes in the form of "flavour". Just sayin.

The reason I advised geralf's messenger is that the card itself is good. The reason I advised against geth's verdict is that it looses against aggro every time. If you want devotion then run underworld connections over sign in blood. And if you want my advise you really shouldn't catagorically oppose all advise I choose to give. Your biggest problem is that your deck is somewhat slow, which gives blue time to get counterspell mana, red time to dump its hand and redraw, green time to ramp and white time to control not to speak of black ramp or pure controll, or even black aggro. I do however recognize that its often hard to get ones mind around changing out favourite cards but at least take this peace of advise. Swords over lashwrite if you want it on the obliterator or nighthawk. Swords of War & Peace, Feast & Famine, etc. Prot 2 colours and even if you do not meet those colours many of them are good by themselves. Untapping your lands to throw a second spell lets you equip it for free, or throw an obliterator + a messanger in 1 turn, card draw + burn out weenies, mill so they can't access their cards and so forth. Just think of your curve. And I'd be happy to prove these points to you in a number of online matches. Again, good luck.

You have little ramp so I'd cut lashwrithe since it's unlikley to give more than +5. You need equipments for some reason, go classic: batterskull, though I'd not recommend any more high drops. Except Phyrexian Obliterator. Allways 4 phyrexian obliterators. Also cut 1 whip unless you get a lot more ETB. Geralf's Messenger is awe inspiring and I'd run 4. As with spudface's deck, Erebos. You can reliably trigger his devotion and hit or block with a 5\7 indestructable. If you really want to run the higher drops you NEED ramp. If you go that route here's a few cards: cabal coffers, Lilliana of the Dark Realms (her +1 is worth it if you can use it twice. No need to care for her ult) and of course, crypt ghast. Finisher: Corrupt.
You might also want to run doomblade over Geth's Verdict.

I can probably give more input later on but for now that's all I have time for, your deck is allready good though, but I wouldn't bring it to something bigger than FNM.

I don't wanna mess too much with a good idea but if you want my take on the deck, here's a few suggestions:
3-4 honor of the pure.
Cavern of souls. Lots of them.
a few swords (fire & ice\light & shadow\ war & peace, etc)
1 or 2 of Ajani, Caller of The Pride
More dual colour lands. Sacred Foundery, maybe clifftop retreat.
and maybe 1 or 2 Door of Destinies.

And sideboard:
Path to Exile. It sucks to let your opponent ramp for free but sometimes you need to deal with things turn 1 or 2.
Boros charm: hitting with indestructable creatures? or in a long game, dropping Wrath of God and responding to it with Boros charm? If you add any equipments, its doubble strike escaletes very quickly after they declare blockers and it's good even as a combat trick some times.
Also: worth mention, lightning bolt. It's not original but there's a reason it's been a staple for so long.
Frontline medic. Stop Sphinx's revelatin, stops fireball, stops a lot of things actually but also has the advantage of letting your vigilance creatures just throw themselves mindlessly at the enemy.

But remember, these are only suggestions, and taking on all of them would water down the deck too much. I'd just like to see this deck in a GP one day;P
