my good friend cody recently decided to take a break from magic. he gave me his zirilan of the claw edh, surewhynot got his thelon of havenwood edh, and quasimofo got his eight-and-a-half tails edh. i made a few changes to the deck, but the original he gave to me is mostly intact.

I think it needs some ways to draw. Wheel of Fortune effects are quite good from red once you empty your hand. :)

with this deck name i think you need the card "all is dust"
I'm very curious as to why Braid of Fire is in this deck. In theory, it's an awesome card that can be used for red ramp, but it can only be used for red instants during your upkeep. Since mana dissipates at the end of every step and turn, I see the card as nearly useless except for the very few instants you have.
i think that he uses that mana for the activated ability of his commander :)
You can dump it into various firebreathing abilities.
I like the sundial of the infinite idea for the end of turn exile not happening, very niceedit - my bad i don't think it works like that
no you were right the first time. sundial of the infinite lets me keep the dragons instead of exiling them. basically lets me cheat any dragon into play for 4 mana.
I wish I had friends that gave out awesome edh decks.
Just realized how broken Extraplanar Lens + Snow Lands are...
Many people I know alternate between Snow Lands and basic lands because people use the Lens + Snow combo so it's 50-50 whether other people may benefit in my group.
Seems like there should be a place for balefire dragon (for board wipe) and maybe dragon mage (as a mock wheel of fortune) in here. Other than that this deck looks awesome
See, your group is why I'm so interested in EDH, and simultaneously the reason I feel very inadequate at it. I have never been swarmed by dragons before a test game with this, and I would like to never be in that position again.

It was majestic as hell, but equally terrible for me. It's like Kingdom by Devin Townsend, I appreciate the majestic/epic sound of it, but holy crap I wish I knew about the volume beforehand.
Jens, my first few EDH decks were WAAAAAAAAAAAY worse than the ones you've made so far, so you're ahead of par right now. Just keep making them and you'll quickly get better. Mostly, find a general that looks fun to build around and just go with it.

Deck is seriously sick I'm not understanding the sundial commander truck though
You end the turn before the action to exile the dragon you found takes effect. So you can find and play any dragon in the deck for 4 mana, it will have haste, and it just sticks around....being a dragon.
