Deck discussion for Tornado

Two good cards your missing is Sanity Grinding and Archive trap hope that helps feel free to comment on my decks

I have them both man! But the Sanity Grinding needs lot cards with blue mana costs in your deck. It is better to be in a deck with Traumatize, Memory Erosion, etc. ...and Archive Trap, if your opponent has not a card with search, the mana cost will be too high to use it... But it is so fucking great card too!

I will see yours now... :-)

I am kind of new so I can't say that this is any sort of decent opinion but it looks like you know what you're doing here. If you are having trouble surviving long enough to mill them out you can add some stall and countering spells from blue. to hold them off.

Thank you bro! Yes I know exactly what I want from my deck... Imagine.. I am trying to make it unbeatable 3 years now... Maybe, if I remove Damnation for my sidedeck and put Remand or Spell Pierce or Hydroblast or another counterspell! Stall??? Any other idea please!

You could use Countermand. It counters AND mills at the same time. Or Power Sink, which has a chance to tap all of their mana.

Countermand nice card, but too heavy..with cunning wish I have to use 7 mana.. Power Sink good too, but extra mana.. I like to have something with 1 or 2 mana or 0 mana like traps and so on..

***a budgeted standard deck, if thats possible: http://www.mtgvault.com/wowwow27/decks/landho-have-a-cigar/ ...also the bigger cards may hold modern value. thank me later-

What do you mean mate? This deck is real! I have it.. only one underground sea is missing.. I know modern decks are more cheaper..

fog bank or wall of frost are good cards for delaying enemy creatures, although they dont have anything to do with milling

Yes I know, but not very useful for my deck as you can see!

Doorkeeper is a defender that does, though, but you need many defenders for that.

Go take a look at my "page"

I've been actively trying to mill legacy and modern with mill for quite a while (Legacy is aproximately 7 years +)

I've also covered every modern mill-deck that have won top 8.

Possibly enchantment hate other then just countering it could come in handy. I play a pretty good modern mill deck and I must say Leyline of Sanctity really hurts me.

In addition to that more fetch lands to work with Hedron crap. Ghost Quarter has proven to come in handy as well. In a situation with 2 or more Hedron crabs in play I've quarted my own land to mill the last few cards needed for the win. Not sure if this will be as good in Legacy or not.

You are right about Leyline of Sanctity.. Only counter with Force of will in my hand.. or return with Cunning wish and etc. Yes nice move with Ghost Quarter.. thanks for that!

Cut 1 shelldock. With only 20 lands you don't want three "taplands" to foil your decks turn 1.

Yes you are right! I will put 2 shelldock and 1 Bojuka Bog. 3 shelldock are too many..

Please any suggestion for sidedeck (instant only) when the opponent have a Leyline of Sanity in game or hexproof anyway... Thank you in advance!

It's white mate.. I need a blue or a black instant...

The only option you would have is to bounce it with something like Void Snare, Boomerang or Cyclonic Rift. Blue or Black has no enchantment removal. Nevinyrral's Disk would be closest thing to it. This is exactly why I play Esper Mill in Modern. 4 Path's main deck and all the great sideboard cards white has to offer.

Void Snare is sorcery.. no.. Boomerang with cunning cost 5 mana cost.. no good option.. cyclonic too..but nice card for commander deck.. Nevinyrral are perfect but comes into play tap and it is artifact.. I need instant spells for side deck..
Yeah.. Paths to exile perfect.. but white..

why to do that?

0

Why don't you put a Tome Scour or a Jace's Mindseeker in? Those would both mill the top five, and the Mindseeker creates an additional effect. You can also comment on my decks, if you want.

1

Jace's Mindseeker too high mana cost... Tome scour very good card, but I have tested this, not working with my control game and so on..

id take out glimpse the unthinkable and add mind sculpt; hedron crab would still pump jace's phantasm. I'm gonna think about adding a few hedron crabs in my mill deck.

jace beleren is better in my opinion for mill

0

Why in the world would you cut Glimpse for Mind Sculpt? As well Jace Beleren isn't very good for a dedicated mill deck. Too slow.

Maniac has right! glimpse the unthinkable put 10 with 2 mana cost too.. I have always swamps.. and extra help with Ghost quarter! ;-)

if its a money question, with heron crab its not as imperative to get ten out at once to throw a jace's phantasm out. my main reason for milling ten.

some decks lack spirit... they are based around a simple idea, and that idea works; but your missing the bigger picture. not all expensive cards work in a power deck, and not all power decks play with expensive cards, some peoples stories/creativity is/are locked away in the cards whether they care to believe it or not

-1

as for glimpse.... its the ultimate casual card (emphasis on casual).

-1

No. You keep babbling on about nonsense. Glimpse is as competitive as you can get for a mill strategy. In no way should it be cut for Mind Sculpt.
