Deck Description

The first version of my Tribal Merfolk EDH deck, starring [[Kumena, Tyrant of Orazca]], by far the best Mefolk Commander ever printed, and absolutely perfect for my style of tribal deck building, which I describe as Snowball Aggro. The longer the game goes on the more creatures there are on the board, with power and toughness that just keep getting bigger, as they get more and more abilities, and my card draw and ramp just keeps going up to spam the board with my creatures before the big unblockable attack that wipes them all out.

Where this deck excels, is in making it's creatures big, and getting lots of card draw. That's why this deck runs as many cards as possible that will untap our creatures as often as possible, so that we can keep spamming the merfolk tap abilities. Also this deck has quite a few one sided board wipe style cards such as [[Aetherspouts]] which are fantastic. Hell putting all their creatures on the bottom of their library is even better than killing them, because it makes it even rougher on graveyard strategy decks. There are quite a few lords including clones to copy them. There are some fantastic support creatures. Some tutors. Even some straight up bombs like [[Cauldron of Souls]], a card I have always thought was cool but have never actually played, because it just wasn't strong enough to make the cut, but in this deck it is solid gold. Opponent plays a board wipe? Cauldron taps, targeting all your creatures, so that they return to the board, you immediately tap 5 of them to put a +1/+1 counter on each of them, which cancels out the -1/-1 persist counter, so they are back to normal again.

I haven't had a chance to play this deck myself yet, but I have ALOT of experience with tribal decks, and I think this one is going to do really well overall.
