Deck Description

Just a weird idea i had one night!!
Draw cards till you get Leveler and Laboratory Maniac in play then use one more draw to win the game
Confound should be in your hand at the end to protect and let you draw

Same approach but I utilize some tutors here to get Leveler into my hand (or on the table), and the Maniac is searched via 'transmute' effects. Also my version is modern legal. For Legacy I would use "Tinker" and "Counterspell"

Add mesmeric orb to support the concept.

Mesmeric orb also disrupts your opponents strategy while working towards one of your gamegoals...

By the way, if you want to beat your brothers elf-combodeck there are three simple things you can do.
1: Play with mesmeric orb.
2: play with 4 darkblast.
3: Play with 4 surgical extirpate.
If your deck mills fast enough these three changes are likely to win you the victory.

If he changes it's nature towards more aggro add 4 perish :D

So, did mesmeric orb work?

Hi there!!
It actually was of no use!!i seems that i discard the same amount of cards as the opponent and i still cannot see how it works for you..i mean an aggro deck shouldnt need mope than 12 cards to win over a defenceless mill
As i work my deck i get more wins but some times i win cuz i damage more with creatures or abilities not only mill...
Still working on it though!!

Well, it's there as support only. If you want to mill yourself faster, then you need more permanents that tap, there are plenty of artisfacts that fit that purpose, but none of them can really lead to a draw like your drawspells.

The only thing I know will give you more mill for a few cards are fatestitcher. Get 2 in the grave, then activate them on each other endlessly and the orb will send everything to the grave.
