I wanted to make a deck that I had a) never tried its color combo and b) didn't use any professional decks to base it off of, instead just using the gatherer and my friends to help me out. Then I decided to make it a life gain/drain deck because that's what most of Orzhov's cards seemed to do.
You want to curve out early but each turn that you can't curve out, use removal as well as use it when necessary. As Archangel of Thune gives your entire team a boost, swing big with the other creatures.
