I know what you mean, but if you could just take a few mana and throw that in, you would be dealing a ton of extra damage every turn! If you're casting a 1/1 spirit per 1 mana, you'd be hitting with an automatic 3 damage each turn afterwards (at least) for only missing one turn of spirit launching. I think it's a good idea, but It does come down to you in the end lol. Another card that might be fun is scrambleverse, if you can throw out the mana. You wouldn't have to worry about someone getting your spirits, because they'd just go back to your hand anyway. Meanwhile, you could get a bunch of your opponents stuff!

This is just a thought, but what would you think about including sun titan? He would be able to pull your guys out of the graveyard should anything happen to them. You could have an army of very temporary spirits! XD

Oh! I know one! I would take out scourge of the Nobilis and replace it with Captive Flame. If you really do want to base this deck around Glitterfang, auras won't do a lot for you. Captive Flame would let Glitterfang get his bonus for that turn, and then, even after he goes back to your hand, the enchantment stays. Or you could use an equipment, like maybe Basilisk's collar? One of the Swords? Just something cheap to equip. Maybe even a whispersilk cloak.

This deck should totally make the front page. It has INSANE potential. I know there are LOADS of cards out there that would make this deck ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE... but I can't think of any right now :/

It's pretty funny in the sense that, the only way I see this deck winning is if I somehow get lucky, screw everyone else over, and then end up with the upperhand. Like scrambleverse or something. But other than that, this deck is just a chaotic mess of fun-filled hilarity XD

Haha! That's awesome! I'll put an Abyssal Persecutor in sideboard. Then throw in a few spelllskites so that nobody can touch either ;)

I was gonna put in Manabarbs, but then the game would eventually end rather than just scrambling like a frantic dog for 30 turns XD

This looks like a really nice deck. My suggestion is to take out Greatsword. It's overpriced for what it does. You can put in kite shield instead, or darksteel axe does almost the same thing but for a lot less mana. Also, you have no creatures with defender, so perimiter captain is somewhat useless. Maybe throw in Accorder Paladin, Inspired Charge, Kor Duelist, or Gideon's Avenger? That's what I got. Otherwise, looks awesome!

Also, since you made the offer, could you check out my control deck and leave some advice?

I hate burn so much, and I hate people who play burn, but this, my friend, is insane. Seems almost unbeatable if you pull the right cards (I probably just jinxed it. There is no unbeatable magic deck.)

Anyway, if you're going to take this to FNM, you've only got a month or so before M11 goes out of standard. Otherwise, I'd consider switching cards out. Maybe Chandra's Phoenix instead of Chandra's spitfire? Just something to think about.

I can definitely see the appeal. Very cheap flier that can hit for two damage a turn starting at turn 3. Question is, can I get my hands on one, and what would I take out? :/

The illusions are actually something I'm still strugglign with. I'm definitely trying to get my hands on a lord of the unreal, but I don't know what I'd take out to put him in. Also, if I do add in the lullmage mentors, then I'm going to want more merfolk than illusions.

I'm heading over to a card store today. IRL, I only have 2 Mana leaks, so I'm going to pick some more up. After this, I'll completely update this to what it is now.

I was just thinking that, not only would Lullmages give me creatures when I counter spells, but if I do it enough I'd be able to counter just about anything, even if i'm tapped out.

That's some great advice. I have a couple last questions.

You never commented on Guile or Alluring Siren. Those are cards I've thought about taking out. What do you think?

Also, how would Lullmage Mentor work in here, with the addition of some more merfolk in place of illusions.

Wow! That's a lot of advice. Thank you very much! I'll just go down the list then.

The reason I have Roil Elemental in here is because my absolute favorite card in control decks is mind control, and even if you can only get one land every few turns, you still get a 0 cost mind control. Not to mention you still have a 3/3 creature, even if he is a bit overcosted.

By levelers I'll assume you mean lighthouse chronologist. I find this interesting, because he can get leveled up really quickly, especially if I get him early. But I'll play around with him some more and see how he does.

To be quite honest, I don't know which archtype I really want this control deck to be. Aggro doesn't really allow massive guys like Frost Titan or Guile, but I can see the uses of pumping out illusions as fast as light. I'll play around with it more and see what it leans towards.

IRL, I took out Coral and put in 2 Merfolk looters. Not sure if I like that I have to discard a card with their ability though, but I'll keep playing around.

Levitation and Eel Umbra are out. Probably gonna take out REality spasm too. LIke you said, can probably only tap a couple of creatures.

Also, I agree about deprive. Especially since I have a fair amount of big creatures in here, I never want to be setback a land.

Thank you very much for the comment!

Thank you for the comment! I actually just updated this and put Tower of Calamaties in for creature removal, so hopefully that should work :)

I use to have ice cage, but I took it out because I thought it was too easily destroyable. But, I've thought many times about putting it in again. Thanks for the comment! Next time I get to a card store, I'll pick up more control cards. These are only what I have.

Never thought of putting Karn in a control deck. I've always been bummed out that there aren't any really good control planeswalkers. I know what card I'm buying >:D
