if you want some more card advantage, big jace is really good and temple bell isn't terrible. for colorless mana producing, thran dynamo is beastly. as a thought for more counters, cancel is always ok and stuff like spell pierce, negate, and dispel come in handy. hope this helps, i really dont know about EDH.
