Deck Description

Ok so basically this deck is a human, demon spirit deck. built it once Avacyn Restored came out. And have been tinkering with it for awhile. Have updated it trying to make it flow a little faster & smoother. Have played against friends and at a few FNM. Against friends does pretty well, we prefer longer drawn out games as opposed to quick turn 4 kill (Supreme Verdict anybody???? lol) games that we run into at FNM.

Any advice would be great, as would likes.. lol Thank you so very much

NOTE: All cards are cards from my personal collection, this is not a "DREAM" deck!!!

How to Play

Basically start producing your human tokens, and get Requiem Angel & Village Cannibals out. Aswell as Skirsdag High Priest. Then star sacrificing your humans to turn them into 1/1 Spirit tokens (Fodder aswell as sacrifical creatures), this will bump up your cannibals also. Most of the demons give you away to sacrifice or kill a creature also. Once a creature has died you can utilize Skirsdag High Priest power to create a 5/5 flying demon creature.
Vault of the Archangel gives your critters lifelink & deathtouch, which is handy.

Deck discussion for Dark Sacrifice

It looks like you have too many singletons in here, try to run more of the same card to increase the consistency of your deck.

Thanks. I agree with you. Although several of the singletons in effect do the same thing for the deck, allowing me to sacrifice a creature. Fiend hunter doesn't nessicarilly need to be there, but i like being able to exile/O ring a troubling permanant. Was thinking of adding a couple of O Rings, and maybe 2 Sublime Archangel (mostly to bump up the other creatures), was also thinking maybe a few ultimate price or murders. just not to sure. If i add in these creature removal, i could get rid of a couple of the singleton critters

I second that, you really should drop some of the one-of cards. The Gallows, Sudden Disapperanes and some other stuff don't really need to be in the deck. Overall, one-of from a given card should usually be a card that can change the game, but is usually too expensive or is too conditional to have in multiples (aka stuff like Ravenous Demon). Put in stuff that you know has synergy; but put in enough of those to make certain you get results. You could swap Village Cannibals (with it's undeniably brilliant flavor) and put in Unruly Mob instead, they only grow for your creatures, but when all and any of them dies - way more versatile than Cannibals. Also, I would increase the land count to around 24-25, if I were you, to make sure the deck flows faster and you have mana to cast your spells whenever you need them. Overall, as I am into Humans/Demons decks, and into Innistrad, I like the idea a bit too much, but have more tweaking to do. Check out my Humans deck for some ideas:

or more importantly for you, my self-dubbed "sacrifice control" deck (aka Ravenous Demonmail Sentry deck), which incidentally has the same name as this one, lol:

Seems like it should be a very fast deck to get into action and such. I would suggest adding a few angels or vampires that had "lifelink" so you can use Griselband more often in case the card you need is closer to the bottome of your deck. Also, I'd maybe add a couple more land cards to get things going a tad faster. You might want to add a couple more cards that like Attended Knight, who bring in human characters with them, but add a few cars to the you deck because Griselband, and Harvesters of Souls are going to quickly deplete your deck and you don't want to lose a match because you used your whole deck. That's just my observation. Great deck though! I really like it. Probably going to use some of these ideas for my own.

I really like some of the mechanics you have here. I was about to write this deck off until I really looked at it. The only problem I see is that you have too many mechanics going at once and not enough of each card for the win strategy to be consistent. Maybe if you tried focusing your deck a bit more then it would run more efficiently and produce quick results. Just a thought. :)

Ok, I'm trying to make a white/black lifegain deck based around Felidar Sovereign. Trying for cheap creatures, and quick lifegain. Maybe human soldiers; such as champion on the parish and captain of the watch, and vampires? Also, planning on putting the exquisite blood, and sanguine bond combo in it. Going for a legacy deck I suppose? Any ideas?

I was actually making a very similar deck. Was using Archon of Redemption (Zendikar), Along with any other flying creatures. Rhox Faithmender, Healer of the Pride, Souls Attendent (Rise of the Eldrozi) Goldknight Reedemer. Let me know how it turns out

Ok so taking peoples advice I have adjusted & tweeked & streamlined my deck, i want to be able to use it and stand a chance at my local FNM. As opposed to just causul play with friends.
I usually try to run exactly 60 cards to be more effective, but i can handle 3 extra cards. lol
What I added:
1) I added 2 Reliquary Towers (No max hand size so Griselbrand & Harvester of Souls can be utilized to more effect with out me having to discard)
2)Added 1 Chromantic Lantern (So ALL my mana can be used effectivly)
3) Added 1 more Thraben Doomsayer (total of 3, for more/faster Human token production)
4) Added 2 Oblivion Rings (Just in case Planeswalkers, deadly enchantments, badass creatures (Eldrozi) show up).
5) Added 2 Rootborn Defenses (Try and Supreme Verdict me now lol)
6) Added 1 more Demonic Taskmaster (total of 2)

Took out:
2 Village Cannibals (Hated doing this espesically since i put in 2 Disciple of Bolas, the 2 work really well together in this deck.)
2 Scroll of Griselbrand (Once again the cards fit in with the flavor of the deck, but I conceaded to usefulness as opposed to flavor)
2 Alters Reap (Really liked it but needed to remove a couple of things and this didn't make the cut)

Thanxz to everyone who has given advice, while play testing this deck I have come to notice it plays faster & better. More consistant. Any more advice is always welcome, I think i will be putting this deck to the test this friday at FNM.
